@@backyardhotrods9885 I had to cut a bearing race off a vacuum cleaner motor shaft once, come to think of it. It was painstaking. I ended-up putting it in the lathe and cutting it until there was nothing left in one spot. But the shaft was only 8mm in diameter and very close to the windings on the rotor. I saved my $28 Costco Porter Cable shop vac from the scrap pile with an $8 NSK bearing! LOL
Were you hearing a noise from the bearings before you changed them? If so what kind of sound? I’m having some noise and trying to figure if their axel bearings or not. Thanks.
No I wasn’t. Had green bearings on my other axles in the car with no issues. I be would jack up the back of the car and take off the wheels and turn the axles and listen
Yeah I have heard of them failing in road racing type applications. But my friend races autocross all over in his 70 challenger with green bearings and they have never failed. So we’ll see.
Great Video! I’m actually putting in a set of the same Wheel Bearings on my 1966 Dodge Monaco 500. Tommy. Staten Island, New York. 😁
It us coming along. Excellent. Gary
Thanks Gary!
That looks like it was bit of trouble and risky, too- I'm not very good with those cutoff wheels! Is that why you brought the welder?
There was some risk but not bad. Key is not to go all the way through. Hr needed the Mig welder for a job he was doing.

If you drive that car HARD those "green" type bearings won't last very long.
