Nearly two years ago I started keeping quail. At first, it was not much more than a hobby, until word started to get around. I sold eggs initially and started to incubate to produce more birds. I was somewhat successful. I also build my own cages. Well, one thing led to another and now I sell cages, live birds, butchered birds and eggs. I live in Thailand and I am about to start supplying butchered quail to a customer in Bangkok on a regular basis. I have an appointment with a lawyer in order to register a company for my quail farming enterprise. I have not even made any real attempt at marketing yet things seem to have taken off for me. Make no mistake, quail farming is a serious business.

In Australia caged quail need, by law, 145cm sq for 1 quail.
I started to raise quails but I have a problem with the feed so I would like to know the protien , calcium and phosphorus content for the feed you use for your chicks from day one and the layers feed as well and when do at which age do you switch to layer feed?

I have quail here in the US and think I would like to raise them when I get over there. In the future could you focus in on building the pens, waterers and feeders? Where do you get the feed and cost of feed. Thank you and God Bless
for the feeds there are plenty here in our local suppliers. You're on the right track. Housing and other needs like the waterers are so important.

Please put some rice hull or sawdust as beddings to avoid split legs.

your cages look crowded. I cant imagine your birds are experiencing a decent little bird life in those tiny cages.
They don’t live long enough for you to worry about that
