Thanks so much! I’m so glad you learned something new😊 you can change the refresh rate to 1/min but I’ve been told it doesn’t make a huge difference in battery life. Also yes you can use the braided cable from s9 for fast charging 👍
If you have a series 9, you get all the software benefits from the OS update, so unless you think getting the bigger screen, slightly thinner watch, and second hand ticking on wrist down mode is worth it, I would say you can hold on upgrading 👍

ok so I think it's the default band that makes it look not as cool. I switched it up to a gold chain one that I had, and it looks really good!
