Probably the best RSR tribute car / restomod ever done . I like Gunderson's approach more than Singer's because they make soo many changes and modernize their builds soo much is it even still a Porsche . I guess it depends on the experience your looking for I want a build that makes you feel like your in a time capsule eccept maybe slightly improved over the original . The only thing I noticed about the 73 RSR Rebel build is that it has a external oil fill cap and to my knowlege Porsche only did the external oil fill cap for one year and that was in 1972 because too many new owners mistaken the oil fill cap for the gas cap ( Americans ) and so Porsche discontinued the external oil filler. Having said that I am no Porsche expert I could be wrong or maybe there were some RSR race cars that did have a external oil filler . And even if that one detail is not correct I still love it both the external oil filler I think its a beautiful build and I wouldn't change a thing .
As a life long Porsche 911 enthusiast, this 911 RSR is amazing. Would love to have the funds someday to buy one. I have an 83 911SC Turbo look, mint. Fun to drive and reliable.
Amazing video - you open up by driving up and down San Joaquin Hills Road - right past my old house, and today I am looking out my window in Vermont during a snow storm....it’s not just your writing and niche car knowledge- your Newport Coast filming is so nostalgic to me.
I really like these 911s from the 70s and 80s. They were more simple and straightforward and they had a more pure driving experience. The ones today have become too complex for my liking. These older ones you could do most of the repairs yourself with a socket set and some screwdrivers. Now it's like you need an engineering degree from MIT to work on a Porsche.
Most manufacturers are making it so you cant work on things yourself, with pricing scanner etc with ridiculous prices, the addition of no longer having auto shop classes because they are "too dangerous" however i enjoy working on my own toys so i might be a little bias
Lovely car indeed👍🏻 I'd lose the Gulf stickers if I had that. I love the way you respected the 915 shift too. I wouldn't let Jay Leno anywhere near that 915 box cos he'll grind it down to metal shavings
That is and awesome Livery Gulf in paint, and it's a great nod to the 917K Porsche of LeMans, and glad you mentioned Steve McQueen. He had to buy 2 917K Porsches to make the movie, because it was his production. Also, documentaries from Automotive Historians often short change his his driving abilities. He actually drove though in the movies, in the Movie Bullitt the point out the rear view mirror shows him in one seen then his reflection disappears, they do the same seen many times including the same jump so the mirror would drop. So his reflection would drop off after editing on the jumps rear view is not relevant. Steve did all if not most of his stunts. Thanks for showing a great example of Porsche History Great presentation 🏔🛤🗻🏞🏎🏆👦🏻👍🏻❣

Everything looks better in Gulf livery.
I'm not a Porsche guy, but I could see myself in this car!! Excellent presentation.

Beautiful 911. Gulf livery looks proper.
Properly wrong, show me a real gulf race car that presented like this
Nice. That was the fastest I recall you test driving a car. This would be preferable to a genuine one to me by far. Beautiful machine.
Wow - the original MFI pump AND slide valve throttle bodies - VERY impressive!
More of a reimagined car then restored very well done
I ❤️ the Gulf colors!
Such a beautiful car!

Glad you enjoy it, we are constanly find new placing in newport where we can film, and fly the drone.
Awesome car! I was lucky enough to see an orange 73 Carrera RS, 959 and 906 at the Saratoga, NY auto museum in 2011.
Definitely the best 911 in my view. I might be biased because it's the year I was born.
Loving all the content as much as always. Thanks Coleen!
Thank you 😊
I have the same idea
Excellent Video
That is one good looking 911!

Why does this channel not have more subscribers?!! Come on people!
We agree!
Hard to get your name out there. I didn't know about this channel until recently
I’m sure it is, but I love this channel. Great format, easy to watch and has someone really knowledgeable and interesting to watch.
The sound of that air cooled flat 6.
Thanks. I like the way these videos are presented and photographed...makes me feel like a customer. Great sound from this Porsche.
Stunning!
Great looking car, great video!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Fantastic. Looks and sounds so good!
Not a big 911 fan, but this one does it! Great production value, BTW.
Thanks!
Excellent video and presentation my friend. Seems like a lot to remember. You did a great job as always.
Thanks!
@@FerrarisOnline You're welcome my friend.

Hard to lose them, they are not stickers. Everything is painted... thanks for the compliment ☺
My dream car😍

Great presentation 🏔🛤🗻🏞🏎🏆👦🏻👍🏻❣
Back then when cars were all different...
Exactly. When cars had personality!
Absolutely amazing!!!
Fantastic car. I love Ferraris and Lambourghinis but would always have a fast lightweight 911 in my dream car garage.
I love that car, I like this channel 😎
Beauty !! Im coming over,
Funny i was going to tell you the same thing. Heard your opening up again. 👍👍👍👍🍺🍹🍰
Nicely Done.
where was this filmed? the scenery is awesome
just love your content especially the Ferrari like porshe as well but my heart is red
I want one in my next life !
Why wait, get one in this life!
@@FerrarisOnline I would get one if I could . Not everyone can afford a $ 200 000 car, even if it is a good deal if you're rich. ;)
I love it, looks amazing, 700000 dollars?!!
Trying to see what seats they were?!
Awesome 👏
They look like Singer Recaro reproductions.
Nah...300’s ....probably asking high 300’s to get low to mid
Can't find it on your site. Is it already sold? Crazy.
Have not listed it on the site yet, will be listed this coming week.
@@FerrarisOnline Alright, sounds good.
listing is live. ferraris-online.com/cars/1973-porsche-911-rsr-rebel-gulf-porsche-tribute-102808/
So cool and extra cool in Gulf livery. One thing: Porsche has an e at the end and you hear it. It is Porsche. Not Porsch.
I thought I liked you, but after I saw this video I realized I was in love 🥰 😂
Air cool life 😎 👌
The RSR is among the most beautiful cars ever. It needs lollipop seats for the chairs & flares experience :-)
Newport Beach beautiful
That's a REAL car
Sick! Love it!
Fit 😍
How many tats you have?
Porsche in einer Ferrari Garage. Das sieht gut aus. Grüße aus Old Germany 🇩🇪
Kind of surprised that it doesn't have a G50 transmission if your updating the powertrain that much.
I'll bet with 355 BHP at 2000 lbs, its got to be a lot of fun. My 911E with 155 BHP is fast enough but more than 2x the power, wow !!
Its absolutly perfect. The perfect ammount of power and handles flawlessly. 👌
Ferrarisonline beautiful German Porsche
great soundtrack
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Both of you beautiful...
WOW beautiful / special women / driving a 911 special can life get better x
She is... hot! The Porsche... just the same! Sane!
I was loving the car until I heard no A/C. In SoCal air conditioning is mandatory.
It have vent windows thats essentially A/C
oh pretty
Idk if there is a cooler car than this.

It’s Por-sche, Not Porsche! Great video, nonetheless.
Tribute = Restomod.
Sculpted steel bumpers?.......errrrrr
Yes the bumpers are steel and hand made.
...........
Fab driver but is she wearing a gorilla suit???????
Damnit, now i lost a bet with our videographer someone commented about the jacket. 😆
Not Porsch, it's correctly pronounced Porsch-e.
Meticulous .....
This is the equalivent of a poorly done herbie the love bug replica.Played out and so douchie.
@Viktor Sligo the paint Mate! And you don't need 6 cylinders to make lots of power vw 4 will make plenty cheaper😉
Fit 😍
