This has to be one of the most informative and entertaining garden channels I've watched. I always look forward to new content. Keep up the great work!
I live in Detroit, Michigan USA. We are on total lockdown here and all of are nurseries and garden centers are closed. Over the past few days, I have watched many of your videos. I thoroughly enjoy your knowledge and expertise. Your videos are realistic, practical and informative. Thank your for brightening my dreary days in quarantine.
Hi John . Recently discovered your channel. Love your style of working . I was taught by an irish gardener many years ago , he used to say the best tool in the garden is the eye . Keep up the great work and videos . Thanks from Derbyshire
This is so good... 'that'll be another video... no actually I think we might do that now!' So funny, most people would take half a day to do this stuff, John is jumping around visualising, creating and changing stuff with whirlwind of gardening knowlege and experience... awesome! Keep up the great videos and congratulations :)
John, I just love your channel and the way you leap around from job to job, kicking all the plants 🤣 you make it all so much fun 😁 Teddy is adorable 💙 (and I have lots of imaginary lines in my head too 🤣🤣)
A chainsaw is a good step up from the clippers I use both tools very effectively for everything from Hydrangea to Cedars even big grasses... if you tie them up first then chop the bottom you get a big bundle very tidy way to remove branches works for many types of long overgrown shrubs or roses maybe not that specific one... thanks for the vid as always a good lesson or 2.
I absolutely long for a guy like John .. to be presenting a weekly slot on "Gardener's World".. but then again he is far too hard core.. viewers of this show prefer to be drip fed information.. Sod Monty's dogs.. John's shirts are far more interesting as "cut away" shots!

He's a no nonsense fella, but it's been said b4 in nature animals munch & stop on them, so they've evolved to take a hammering 👍

I love your way of making gardening both interesting and easier for us new gardeners. Thank you!
"Life's too short for peelin grapes" is the BEST saying I ever heard for gardening.
I’m also new to this channel, it’s great no nonsense gardening, get the job done . Keep up the good work John. Great character. From the Uk
Glad to see a video from you, John! Best wishes from the US.

We have a yew hedge, we like it very much very easy to take care of. Thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
Hi John, why don't you use spring bulbs? Small botanical spring bulbs?
The same here in Holland, sooo much rain and wind☔️💨🙋🏼♀️
Nice to know I am the only one the kicks the bushes to get the clipping out. My neighbors think I’m nuts but life is to short for pealing grapes.
Who doesn't love giving a Hypericum a good kicking 😁
I love very much your videos good job
Is that a Chelsea Chop ?
You love that 'gadget' lol!
I’ve had hypericum in my garden for over 20 years and never seen a berry
Just do it to heck with peeling grapes it'll grow back if not plant another one.
