He's from my state of pa. And although very famous still so down to earth and fully respects our veterans... he has a great heart and truly a genuinely good person...hard to find with the rich and famous these days!!!
He'd do it without a question. I was 16 when they released Talk Dirty to Me. Our hometowns are only 45 minutes apart. Met him a couple times backstage and that dude is the nicest I ever met in my life...humble!
This was off their debut album and the title song. It was the theme of the party rock ‘80’s decade! And they still open up every concert with this song to set the party vibe !!
Their first album rocked no doubt!!! Try reacting to “I Won’t Forget You “ & “Cry Tough”…they are definitely one of the best glam metal bands. Up there with Ratt & Mötley Crüe 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
In 2003 I took my son (7 years old) to his first 80's hair band show Poison, w/ Skid Row and Vince Neil; with a Motley Crue tribute band as his back up. I had to explain what the song "Cat Dragged In" was all about to him. I'll never forget it. And he's fine today!
I think this first album from Poison might have been their best. It was raw and glam-pop, more so than their later albums. At the time it was something new that stood out from the music crowd and we loved it! The album cover is iconic and so memorable, too.
@@robertday1671 Haven't really directly requested anything. I've lost track of how many of their videos I've watched and made comments/suggestions on, so I doubt I'd remember anyway. But they have already done many songs I WOULD have suggested, and they have many, many more to go. The 80s scene alone is nearly endless for songs they haven't done yet.
Now you are talking. One of my favorite hair bands from the 80's. Just a party band that has so much fun and never takes itself too seriously. This song is a jam! The whole album - Looked What the Cat Dragged In is great. Check out "Fallen Angel" & "Cry Tough". Too bad you didn't get the video for this. This album came out a year before I graduated high school (1986) and was played at any high school house party you went to. Once out of high school we continued partying to this band. Many could relate to the lyrics of this song because we partied so hard, drinking & partying all night, sleeping a few hours, getting up to go to work or going to work fresh from the club and doing it all again that same night. Hooking up with random girls from the club was not an uncommon experience. The debauchery of the times was on full display and we had "Nothing but a good time" (wink).
This is definitely their heaviest song, It has been the opening song at every concert they've done for at least as long as I started attending them in 1990. Seen them live seven times, and this was the opener every time. Yet for some reason it was never released as a single. Also, as others have said, you should do "Fallen Angel" next. Probably my second favorite song of theirs after this one, and a great video too.
This tune is my alarm clock in the morning! This song has been the opening song for their concerts for years until 2022 when on tour with Def Leppard and Motley Crue. I don’t know why they didn’t then. It’s one of their biggest hits ever. This tune was at the very beginning of their career… first album of the same album name.
If you get a chance to see this band live, go do it. Saw em on the stadium tour with Joan Jett, Motley, and Leppard. These guys stole the show in my opinion. Best band there, everything live best i could tell, grateful and THANKFUL for the fans and still getting to play live. Also, these guys showed so much love to the service members in the audience. Ricki is an underrated in the genre also.
Totally agree. I went in thinking I would make a bar or bathroom run during Poison; but they were great! They had so much fun and appreciated the audience so much. They were a blast and I have a new respect for them.
I too saw them on the stadium tour at truist field (Atlanta) I noticed a few months back that J was wearing one of the T-shirts from the tour. Bought the tickets in early 2020 right before Covid exploded. We waited years after it was postponed but finally saw the concert. I believe the next stop was Nashville where Bret Michaels came down with Covid! There’s just something special being in a crowd at a live concert!
Title track to their debut album. I remember buying this tape and playing it over and over again for at least 3 months as I drove around. Its one of their heaviest songs, and one of their best. Great reaction!
This is probably their heaviest riff Jay. This is the title track of their debut album. It was never released as a single nor was a video made but it’s been a staple of their live shows since the beginning and it’s a fan favorite.
I saw them in concert twice as the lead in for Def Leppard, and they opened their set both times with this song. And this is indeed 80s Poison, this album came out mid '86, their first major release.
Poison was the funnest concert I ever got to go to! They were a blast! It was my freshman year of high school. 1990, I believe. It was their Open Up and Say Ahhh tour. I fought my way to the front of the arena where the railing was. I thought I was going to get crushed to death (I’m 5 feet tall), but it was worth it. They were my absolute favorite band. I caught one of Bobby Dall’s bass picks. Such a fun memory!
This was my first hard rock concert. I saw Poison in 1986 in McAllen, TX. They opened for Cinderella and Loudness. I've seen them multiple times since then and Poison never disappoints!
Jay and Amber I appreciate that yall react to a variety of Music genres, But when yall do 80s Metal and 90s rocks, I am quick to View yalls reaction THANK YALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Poison was one of my favorite hair bands way back when. They were right there with Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Cinderella, and Skid Row in the cd rotation. I haven't listened to them on purpose in years, though.
I've only heard at best, 2 songs off their first album, one of which is this one. Their 2nd one, Open Up And Say Ahhh, hit me big time. This song is the title cut from album #1. Off album #2: Nothing but a good time, fallen angel, every rose has its thorn, moma don't dance...
This was the fifth and Title track of their debut album. I bought it for the song "Talk Dirty To Me" for a band I was in and was learning. I learned a couple things about Poison, first they are NOT posers. Second, they never really got their due. At least in my mind. G n R got a lot of undeserved glory when a band like Poison was really kickin it. CC, Bobby and Rikki can really handle their instruments well and pull off some stuff musically that turned my head. Bret was the pretty boy up front, capable, but Im a bassist, the band is where its at really.
This is off of Poisons first album. And is the opening track. And this is the heaviest poison sing. This song was not pushed by the record company or Radio stations. This is also the opening song for their concerts too.
I've got to admit I've been a fan of your channel for a while now and I am impressed with the way you all have grown as reactors. As far as I'm concerned you all may just have the best reaction channel on TH-cam.
This is the title song from their first album. There were glam bands and then there was Poison. The album cover to this album went as glammy glam as you could. Anyone who hated glam hated Poison just a little bit more. I was a fan the first time I heard Talk Dirty to Me on the radio. I was in the Marine Corp at the time and we had gone up to Washington state for training. I had this cassette in my Walkman and just blasted it while hanging out in the woods. That album cover caused me to get a lot of funny looks but you have fully commit to glam. I saw them twice in concert. Once as openers for this album and then as headliners for the next album. One of the best live bands of the time.
title track from their very first album I think. so nice to see young people enjoying this. I saw them playing this at a bar as an opening act when they were unheard of. it surprised me when someone mentioned them in college because of some song. I was like wait... you heard of them? “Talk dirty to me” and “nothin but a good time” are two of their best and most famous songs.
And probably their two best "feel good" songs!
They reacted to both already as well as at least 2 more, up to 3 years ago.
Next Poison song should be Fallen Angel
YES!!!
yep
100% and that is a much deeper song...
Yessssss😊❤
I believe they did this one. Have to look it up here
Get Brett Michaels lead singer of Poison on your show. He's a super nice guy. He'd do it.
Yes, I'd love to see that!

Poison - Every Rose Has It's Thorn
Warrant - The Down Boys
The look on Ambers face when he sang "I know damn well I slept with both last night" was priceless.
