Question for Andy and Brad... Why do we have to listen to a guy like Chris Fowler announcing at these big tennis tournaments - when we could be listening to Brad or Daren Cahill or Jim Courier or Mary Joe Fernandez or Andy..??? This bothers me EVERY time I have to listen to that guy... instead of one of you truly insightful former players who know the game from such a much more knowledgeable and intimate place.
Getting to listen to Brad (or any of the others mentioned above) is so much more enjoyable than being forced to hear Chris Fowler babble on and on. It's like the difference between having the pleasure of hearing Neil deGrasse Tyson speak about the cosmos... or being forced to hear Chris Fowler talk about the cosmos.

To this day Andy still uses some pro stock blue pro tour painted like a radical

So, it’s OK for Jannik Sinner to change his serve drastically twice in a single year (which in large part helped make him #1), but, oh dear!, we shouldn’t allow Coco Gauff to fix her forehand?! And we should make only minor adjustments to her serve?
Brad Gilbert has been great for players who need help with their mental game, like Andre. But Gauff has learned all that. That is not what is holding her back: in fact, now it’s a significant strength. But her forehand is not just a weakness, but a really bad weakness that all her opponents make a point of attacking. To her credit, she is still so strong that most players on tour can’t do it. But the players at the top can, and I’m not sure she has any choice but to reengineer the stroke. Having her try to optimize what she is already good at, and leaving the forehand alone because Brad Gilbert is afraid what it might do to the rest of her game, and the time it may take to get it right, is a recipe for underachievement.
She is a great, great athlete! She can do this! Don’t sell her short! Don’t saddle her with the career-long weaknesses that prevented you from competing with the best, Andy. All the best players, men and women, have made significant adjustments to their games. Rafa, Fed, Novak, Iga, Aryna, even Tiger Woods. Let Coco be great!

Good stuff but again you throw in the F bomb and I can’t have my juniors watch. You have children. I’m sure you wouldn’t want this type of language for them?

Not everything can be for children. This podcast generally isn't for children.
