    I have never tried stub nibs, but now I think I will get my next eco with 1.1 stub. I really liked that flower drawing, stub nib made lines look natural and lively. I'm so happy that you liked your eco and can't wait to see what inks you got :)

      The Eco is awesome! Today i tried the 580 AL and I actually like it less than the eco. :( Today I was playing with the Diamine November Rain and Diamine Twilight. I'm not sure about them yet. Thanks for the review you did a long time ago, without you, I wouldn't have bought the Eco. :) The stub is nice and provides a nice line variation.

    I wish I could read what you wrote, but you have very beautiful handwriting. The pen looks so beautiful as well. I also love how it looks in a drawing, the lines are just so free and bold.

      Hi! Thank you :) The pen became easily my favourite because of the huge ink capacity. It has a 1.1 stub nib, which creates the bold lines but also gives variation. ;) There are more pens I want to review, but as you know, time is rare sometimes.

      I too wonder, why everyone writes the same sentence. It makes sence when testing fonts on a computer to see all the letters, but in handwriting with beautiful fountain pens - we can get creative! :D Thanks for the comment!

    Just discovered your channel. Your experimental art work and crafts are very interesting to me. Subbed. And thanks for sharing your thoughts on the pen. The review was brilliant. 😊You provide a good demonstration of the Twsbi eco. Ive recently ordered a twsbi diamond 580 and I’m anticipating the stub 1.1 nib to perform well! I’m quietly going about my daily work and routine waiting for it to arrive...bubbling inside with excitement.

      Hi Sunny, thank you! I'm glad the review was helpful for you. :) I'm still happy with the Twsbi Eco, it's a great one. I've had it inked up with shimmery ink (Diamine something) for a long time and it was wonderful - especially for Christmas cards I'll do it again. And of course some drawing, the line variation is amazing.
      Have a wonderful day and lots of fun with your pens!

      Thanks Ian! There are so many fountain pens out there and as mentioned, I have a small collection. Check also other reviews to see, which one would be the perfect one for you! :)
      There is waterproof pigment ink for fountain pens too, if you want to include it in your art, but I wouldn't put it into the expensive pens in case it dries up in there.
      Have a great day!

    Recently got into fountain pens and have been looking at this exact pen. I love orange and the idea of stub nib and a demonstrator, and this pen checks all three. The only thing holding me back is matching inks. Do you find it weird at all to have colored ink in the pen with the orange accents? I am not that interested in orange inks for a practical reason, but hesitant to put a green/blue ink in the orange pen.

    • @LanaGoesArt
      @LanaGoesArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Sorry, youtube hid the comments from me, so I'm answering late. Now I have used the Twisbi Eco a lot and I love it! The ink capacity is huge and it looks so nice. And the orange is even better in real life, it's like glowing. I'm not a big fan of orange, but this one really loos great. For me it's not a problem to have not colour matching inks in there. Because 1. I'm not a collector and while I have a few different pens, I don't colour code them with inks and only have 2 inked up right now. 2. I like inks too and want to use them, so I ink up the pen I want to use with the ink I want to use. Right now I have a green ink in the orange pen and it's ok for me. Darker inks look almost black in the pen. When they are "see through" (in the pics) they are most likely watered down anyway to show the demostrator effect. So... if you're like me: be practical and use whatever you like in any combination you like. :) Matching colours only sets unneccessay limits. ;) If you want to see how this looks, give me a note on instagram and I'll post a photo.
      See you and have fun with your new pen once you get it :)
      btw: I prefer the Twsbi Eco to the 580AL - that one had a faulty nib and I only had stress, so I returned it.

    I just found your channel and this review. I think this is an excellent review especially because you included sketching. It's so hard to find reviews with sketching in them. I am also interested in getting either the 580 or the Eco. I read in another reply of yours that you like the Eco better than the 580? Would you please elaborate why that is?
    Thank you very much! Take care 🙂

    • @LanaGoesArt
      @LanaGoesArt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello and thank you! I just thought I'd do best what I do best to test the fountain pen and show how I actually use it - not for writing only. :) That I like the Eco better than the 580 is a totally personal thing. The 580 looks very nice and has a nice feel to it, mine came with a scratchy nib, that turned out to be mis aligned. And I had troubles with the seller to replace it or send it back (which I eventually did). So this experience made the Eco my favourite as I didn't have the same troubling experience with it. In general I think they use the same kind of nibs for both. (Also there are nib replacements for the 580.) In the mean time I got many more fountain pens, that I do like and the wish to own a 580 has passed. Though I do love the amount of ink it can hold. Hope this helps. :)
      Have a great day!

    Hi superb…Ive brought eco 1.1mm stub nib after watching your video.after my first attempt …i found that nib is very wet its very hard to write on a 90gsm or normal paper(ink used lamy beryl).im getting feathering effect with little bit of ghosting.if you know any hack please tell , how to make nib dry.thanks in advance😊

    • @LanaGoesArt
      @LanaGoesArt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thanks for the comment. I'm sorry you have troubles with your Eco, I sadly don't know how to make a nib drier, but 1.1 stub will always be a bit wet. As for the feathering, it might be the paper? Maybe try a different paper that will feather less? I hope you find a way working with the nib, I do still enjoy mine a lot. It's inked up with Diamine November Rain currently.

    The TWSBI Eco is one of the best pistonfiller pen you can get, and its a good pen for collecting because you can get them in many different colors. But the other TWSBI Models are very nice too. I love the TWSBI Vac700 R, wich is a vacuum filler and has a bigger ink compazity as the other piston fillers. But very nice drawing, very nice handwriting, writing with a stub nib is not for every handwriting style 😊 and thank you so much for mention my channel. At least something in deutsch weil ich das besser artikulieren kann :-) Lamy Schwarz hat Ruß als Bestandteil, darum bitte den Füller reinigen wenn du ihn neu befüllst, ob mit der selben Tinte oder mit einer anderen (dann natürlich erst Recht), denn sonst kann er verstopfen.

    • @LanaGoesArt
      @LanaGoesArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Danke für die Infos! Ich habe noch den Twisbi 580 AL mit einer feinen Feder, den ich bald auch zum Zeichnen nutzen werde... ist ein anderer Ansatz als in den meisten Füller-Reviews, aber liegt mir doch etwas mehr. ;) Ich dachte, eventuell gehe ich auch meine anderen Füller dann mal durch, obwohl meine Sammlung lange nicht an deine heranreicht.
      Die stub-Feder passt zu meiner Schreibweise erstaunlich gut! Hätte ich fast nicht erwartet und es gibt dann diese Varianz in der Strichbreite, die mir gut gefällt.
      Dass mit dem "Ruß" in der Tinte ist eine gute Info. Für uns Kunstnerds würde es heißen, dass es eine Pigmenttinte ist und entsprechend das Pigment mit der Nummer PBk7 verwendet wurde. In anderen Tinten werden oft keine Pigmente verwendet, weil diese größere Partikel haben, die eben die Füller verstopfen können, sondern andere Färbemittel (dye). Diese sind nicht lichtecht und verblassen relativ schnell in der direkten Sonneneinstrahlung. In der Schublade halten sich aber beide. PBk7 ist aber lichtecht und dadurch dokumentenecht. Es kann aber durchaus sein, dass es eine Mischung aus Pigment + Färbemittel ist. Bei Pigmenten bin ich deutlich besser informiert, als bei Füllern und Tinten im allgemeinen... Obwohl ich meine Tinten alle mal ans Fenster hänge für einen Lichtechtheitstest - sind bisher nicht so viele, aber das kommt noch.
      Deinen Kanal habe ich gerne erwähnt, wenn ich daraus lerne, dann teile ich den Ruhm auch. ;)

      @@LanaGoesArt Das klingt als wüsstest du bei Tinten auch recht gut Bescheid :-) Auf dein Video über den Diamond bin ich gespannt. Ich habe 2 davon, einen in Rot-Blau und einen in Nickelgrau. Das sind sehr formschöne Füller. Wenn du auf Tintenkapazität achtest, empfehle ich dir den Vac700R, dessen Korpus kannst du vollständig mit Tinte füllen. Ich würde einiges geben könnte ich so gut zeichnen, aber ich kann es nicht :-D Gib mir eine Gitarre, setz mich an ein Schlagzeug - damit kann ich etwas anfangen, aber im zeichnen bin ich eine Null XD In der Füllerbubble von "InkWitty" hat gestern jemand mit Pelikan 4001 Königsblau ein Bild von Lord Voldemort gezeichnet. Es ist ein Insider-Scherz, da der Witty in einem seiner Videos gesagt hat, dass er Königsblau hasst weil es so blass ist. Und seither nennen wir das alle (ich auch) nur noch "Obrigkeits-Blau" oder "Die Tinte dessen Name nicht genannt werden darf" oder "Voldemort-Blau" :-D Total witzig. Jedenfalls hat mir das Bild dass die Dame in der Füllerbubble gezeichnet hat auch total gefallen. Schade dass ich sowas nicht kann, damit könnte man Tinten noch schöner zeigen als nur in dicken Swabs und in Schrift.

    • @LanaGoesArt
      @LanaGoesArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BigGsTintenkiste Ich weiß nicht, ob ich bei den Tinten gut Bescheid weiß, oder bei Pigmenten. Habe ja für Aquarellfarben eine Datenbank aufgebaut, wo ich auch ein paar Tinten-Tests miteingesetzt habe. sunandcolors.com/ Gib im Filter als medium "fountain pen ink" ein. ;) Die wird aber die Tage geupdatet und wird noch schöner und nutzerfreundlicher. Der Nerd in mir braucht das einfach.
      Über den Füller kann ich noch nichts sagen, habe ihn noch nicht befüllt. Für die Tintentests und Reviews habe ich mir was gaaaaanz besonderes ausgedacht und sogar mehrere unterschiedliche Papiere zugelegt, auf denen die Tinte sehr gut aussehen soll. Das wird ein Fest! Heute und Morgen wird ausgiebig getestet, gezeichnet und gemalt. Das Zeichnen an sich ist halt Übung... mit einer Gitarre könnte ich z.B. nichts sinnvolles anfangen... außer sie vielleicht zu bemalen. :D
