An absolute pleasure to watch! Very informative and quite entertaining without being too corny. Love the warning signs on your lift.

Remarkably informative as always. I appreciate your precise torque measurements and recording the ideal number of ugga-duggas to get the job right.

LOVE your commentary! You practically fixed the old runner with a lone crescent 👍🏻 . You are a very good mechanic, keep up the great videos/lighting/filming. CLICK!

Looks like your chassis grease distributor needs a calibration! Lots of flaky stuff in there! Thanks for the video, it helped immensely!

Love your commentary. And the warning labels on the lift. Your neighbor in NJ.

You had me at motherf**ker! My favorite phrase for anything I don’t like. I subbed because there was tremendous value for me in this video. The bonus was the entertainment factor. The laser Measure, the steering wheel alignment, and the Homer Simpson sealed the deal.

I recommend using a metric adjustable wrench. It's a furren car after all.

My pappy didn’t lose his leg in WW2 so I could use METRIC adjustable wrenches! I only use SAE adjustable wrenches. Murica.

your channel gives me PTSD about my youth in the Buffalo area. Every car I ever owned there was just one, chassis-shaped mass of bumpy rust.
I've lived in the PacNW for about 30 years - no road-salt, no rust. I thought I had forgotten all about trying to service a Toyota back East, but it all just came flooding back.

That steering wheel method is actually genius. Why doesn’t everyone do that in their tutorials lmao

one of the best video. SO fun. You did the whole job with one wrench. I have a whole set of tools and still have difficult doing it! I love the Brooklyn torque specs

Don’t forget to use the German torque setting. Gutentight, for those metric inches.

Extremely disappointed you didn't remove the cotter pin with the adjustable.....for your sake I hope that was a gag, and you didn't waste hours of your life removing everything with the adjustable

Does the slip joint still need to be loose when adjusting the steering wheel? I took off the center nut like you did but the wheel will NOT budge, not even with a hammer

    • @thedoubtfultechnician8067
      @thedoubtfultechnician8067  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Nope! I’ve had one and only one get that stuck and had to rent a steering wheel puller from advance auto- it’s free.

For some reason I'm anal about torque specs on all nuts and bolts on the vehicle except tire lug nuts. Those I simply tightened with a grunt.

  • @JoelGarcia-x1c

You may want to try again with weight on the wheels. Either way, it’s no substitute for a professional alignment- just temporary.
