I've been told by a pretty good source that this is a prop car, originally a hard top, converted to a ragtop back in the day. I notice it does have the hardtop vent window frames. I wonder what it's history was before pac used it in the video.
It wasn't pacs personal car. It belong to a Hispanic elderly couple and rented it to pac for the music video. He purchased it off them and as far as I know it was original rag and all he only put juice in it cause they had it static but made it look like a "lowrider" for the music video and car shows.
Impala's have been my favorite style of car since mid 90's from 1958 Bel -Air to 1966 Each Year has there own distinctive look, anyone who follows the scene can easily tell from a quick glance, " Oh thats a 63 or a 65" They really took the time and put in so much pride engineering these classics... Hey thats the spot where they filmed Mc Eihts - "What You Wanna Do" video
The mailman left his stuff there for a reason to come back haha you can even see him checking out what yall are doing when he comes back for it haha. Great video.
U sound like my long lost brother, are story is the same I'm a 64 and a 96 impala owner from the 90's but I'm from Detroit Michigan and I'm black but other than that we're the same bro. Great video.
Bro you remind me of my buddy Wayne. I grew up in East Houston all Hispanic hood you know, Ive always been solo, but coming up my 1st lowlows I seen i think I was like 6 yrs old. It was a primered cutty with t tops and supremes with loud ass exhaust and dude i fell in love. We were at the corner store. My dad used to hate so bad cause he was a old school gear head and really knew his shirt he'd build like pro street shit. He couldn't stand lowriders or Mexicans 😆. I would steal lowrider magazine books from the grocery store and draw them and trace them. By like age 10 I had my own like paint and body shop so to speak where I'd paint and work on all my homies bikes but really I did it for free. Id borrow my buddies worn out Nike Cortez and starched down Dickies at school cause I couldn't wear it around my old man 😂. Idk man I just always loved the culture and people who build lowriders, and the ladies are oh so finneee cholas! Man I had got jumped by some hill billies once cause I had a chromed out huffy with the handle bars leaned way out front and they would talk shit when I'd pass by, Cody short one of the biggest ugliest red necks stole my bike out the front yard one day and they took bats and beat my bike into what looked like a fuckin taco then threw it back in my yard 😂. But hey man your story is inspiring as fuck bro. Super humble fuckin real testimonys. Iron sharpens iron bro, thanks. Keep building and keep the movement alive. I hope to make a trip to Cali one day and hit up a show, lowriding is all but dead with swangers and slabs taking over Houston. It brings me down, but fuck it. To the old way, the slow way. Eastside signing off🤘 much love🤟 God bless your work Long Beach Lloyd ✌️
I remember this Impala when it was for sale on craigslist. I think it was in the city of panorama at a car shop with not many details on it. Price was very reasonable if I remember correctly.
