That is very helpful thanks man I traded for one the guy changed the belt and couldn’t get it to clear and I did this and it fixed permanently thanks for the info man
To help others after I just went through changing my belt after the belt came apart and tripped the belt slip sensor switch. I've had my 2004 AC 650 V2 since new and I've had cold weather belt lights and the service reminder lights, what I refer to as a soft trips, but never a hard trip (switch tripped). The dealer had given me the reset connector for the 4 pin plug, which came with a card with the instructions. I've never had an issue resetting until this hard trip of the switch. This video, while the best I found, didn't help and I wasn't ready to start cutting wires and doing a permanent bypass, so I waited until Monday and went to see my local ATV repair guy. After talking with him he said there are 2 different reset procedures. The 1st is for the soft resets, like the 100 hour service reminder. The 2nd is what the card instructions refer to when it says see your dealer if the light doesn't reset and is for the hard trip (switch tripped). Everything is the same as the soft reset except not only do you jumper (or use the tool) the 4 pin connector, but you also have to unplug the 2 pin connector from the switch (you do not jumper this, just unplug it). Follow the rest of the instructions with the key and blinking lights and then turn it off and plug everything back in normally. Probably obvious but I want to add the switch has to be put back to the ON position, prior to doing this reset procedure. At first I thought it didn't work, as the belt light came back on when I first turned the key, but it cleared after a second or two and it's been fine since. Hope this helps.

it made my belt light go from blinkin to just staying on but it also has no spark so ill see if it turns off when i fix it
What if that is already bypassed and still doesn’t clear it
After 6 months you may have already fixed this, but I just added some instructions in the comments under the video.
