      Man ive been trying to get my head wrapped around the new tools but its not as straight forward

      @@DevGods The new tools are raw and unfinished, basically it’s stuff for manipulating joint chains with nodes and vex. Its good for retargeting mocap, but not full characters from scratch atm. If you want stuff that’s like simple and artist friendly rigging tools like this you will probably need to wait for Houdini 19.
      Still I would say this method of rigging is on its way out.

      @@AerysBat Very true. I’ve been playing around with it, I definitely want to see it grow! I guess for now I will use it as a way to make animations only on one rig then retarget them to another, which will still save a ton of production time.

      Methods are interchangeable, so nothing is completely dead.
