I dont know... Unreal managed to create such an intense and mystique Atmosphere with Na Pali and that music. Its still unbeaten and unreached by any game that came after that. Unreal is an absolute Computer Game Legend!!!
Just started replaying it after a looooong time with the Unreal: Evolution mod... God damn, I love the music but I HATE the ability to lose myself inside the Sunspire. Beautiful level and inspiration, though. The track is beauty beyond words.
@@martinemesguitar There's a number of gameplay changes that are small (Some level changes that don't affect the core level design too greatly, better overall AI, dedicated dodge keys) then there's some larger changes such as weapon upgrade modules... Arguably the weapon upgrade modules are a good boon though; it allows you to sink upgrades into a weapon of your liking for marginal improvements to their handling so you don't purely piggyback the Eightball/Flak/Shock. It's awesome, I'd recommend it.
there is a project in the works called unreal redux, you should see it. last time i checked hes done with remaking everything up to the sky levels. it may not be a new engine remake but it looks amazing none of the less.
5:33 up to the end is by far one of the most beautiful composition ever made in video games. This game should make a return in full splendor, COMPLETELY. And such soundtrack must be IN it ORCHESTRATED. Tim Sweeney, please. Epic Please let Unreal 1 RETURNS in full GLORY.
tim sweeney had already sacrificed the entire epic games developer team's passionate unreal souls for kids' fortnite dance+skins derp battles and epic games store exclusivity. now all thats left of unreal games development is just their precious unreal engine which is just a husk with very little piece of unreal games' souls in it.

I wouldn't be able to tell if this was from some old film or not if it wasn't for it being done in a tracker. And yet it being done in a tracker is the essence of what gives this, and every other track in Unreal it's unique character and sound.
I think it's the fact that's it's from a tracker and also the specific composers who made all these unreal engine game songs. Unreal, UT99 and Deus ex are some of the games where you can hear this unique style
The unreal & tournament soundtrack are what i listen to when iam creeping around at night in my old mercedes 190 with only sidelights on, cigar in mouth.. love it ✌️🚬👍

As very old Unreal fan and one of translation project author, I would say - it's Great job! After Harobed village it's my favorite level, great by design, size, music. After listening that tracks in modplug on 'creative' sound cards - it sound good. Special thanks for making full track not just first part, as modern audio players only can play. 6:55 - not bad, u added new sample, but it's not ruined track
Thanks for doing what you're doing even if not crushing with subs. Your remixes are clever and innovative in many ways. Guessing you make remakes in part for the "stems" for remixes.
I wish they would release a remaster of this game powered by Nightdive Studios' KEX Engine. Just like they did with Turok and Quake. And it has to be with that game engine, since the Unreal Engine 1 source code is currently lost.
This music makes me feel like i'm on the top of the Sun Spire. Thank you. PS - Cant wait for War Gate (wish for real extended version like for 5 or maybe 6 minutes), Unreal Crypt and some others

Loved the scale of it. When you fell off the top took a good while to fall into the lava.

It is much as apart of UT's soundtrack and vice versa. Unreal fans were eatin good in 1998 and 1999. RTNP and UT in the same year? Hell ya!
