I agree. I believed it's A. I think this because in the second line it says as children, how we perceive... Which means babies are perceptive (and we are too), of physical appearance. And at the end it says "are preferred by new born babies"

And B is not possible because it says" attractive people are considered (not proven) to be smarter.

Aren't the words stereotype and considered indicating that it is not an inference but rather a belief in some set of people?
IE: people believe (incorrectly?) that appearance and success are related.
How is that the inference?

It is not D because the passage says that girls are better in making the judment, than boys and not "girls are more trustworthy than boys"...hope that helps
