  • My friend that filmed the first attempts at this video has recorded it again this time attempting to tweak the detectors to perform the best possible on the targets and showing his settings, he is using.
The Algo could have added quite a bit of depth by going into mild soil mode, but then of course your soil has to be mild enough to be capable of running in mild soil mode, for those lucky enough it adds quite a bit of depth to the Algoforce, I'm lucky enough in my area to be able to run in mild soil mode everywhere.

Interesting tests. What is your consensus? Do you think the E1500 is a good machine for those stepping up from VLF to PI machines?

Yep, it's a great jump from a VLF especially in mineralized or hot rock soils.

@phrunt thanks! do you think it's worth spending more to get a second hand 5000 or new 6000? Being a hobbiest just not sure where I should head next.

The important thing is that the places where the detectors are tested should be mineralized underground. It is an undeniable fact known by professional detector users that open air tests are completely misleading. Like the comparison tests of the detectors made in the TH-cam video below. I think there should be a comparison test with Minelab detectors in order to see the performance of the Algoforce e1500 in its fullest. Please let me know if I am wrong because you do not have such a test video, is that correct?
