+Tyson Sprinter Blake is one of the most skilled and athletic Power Forward ( or Power Guard) of this generation of Basketball. Blake's pretty fast for his size and weight, but he is definitely not a world class runner.
She was coached by John Smith and Ralph Mann, two of the best biomechanicists around -- and both former world record holders themselves. Blake seems like a really bright, analytical guy.
So stoked to see Blake doing MMA. It's the ultimate sport right now. Ground game, no fear, one on one competition, and some physical contact that's on purpose. Good times. Good luck Blake!
its crazy cause as a 300 hurdler and middle distance runner i run and try and stay big with a big chest and have a good cycle, but being a college d3 football player and more specifically wide receiver they try and change your running form into one where you have a hard lean. this is where cross training for me can sort've be hard. i got to the ohio div 1 regional meet so its not like im slow but its such a different running form between the 2 sports.
+Dylan Porter yup same exact situation for me. I'm running indoor track though and am going to be running some sprints hopefully faster in football and track haha
Coach: "Keep your head up" "Chin down" "Keep your head up" When you think about it, What this lady is trying to teach is breathing. True teaching isn't revealed all at once.
Blake you’re an amazing basketball player I really hope you get to read my comment. I’m a competitive 11 year old basketball player who also train for track and field.I was came across this video by just googling basketball and track and field relations. Thank you for this video I’m now more knowledgeable and motivated to even train extra harder, it really going help me. I would love to meet you so you can give me advice, I will now ask my godfather he’s one of your Detroit Pistons directors.
While distance running isn't a bad thing, NBA players doing it actually is. Players need anaerobic endurance, not aerobic endurance. This is what happened to Lebron. He skimmed down, but did it very stupidly. He went low carb and did distance running. That's why he seemed slower last preseason until the effects wore off. So yeah, doing too much distance running decreases a players explosion, which is horrible.
+stormspinner9000 Fair enough. Maybe basketball isn't a great example... (Full disclosure I have never played or trained for basketball) But if any players like Blake Griffin go on 1-2 mile runs -- together with their anaerobic exercises -- Then they could benefit from some training on form etc for those runs
"The thing she kept saying was stay big, stay big. Dont bend over dont cripple yourself dont make yourself smaller work those arms stay up right keep your chin up"
I really like this series. It's cool to see athletes out of their element.
I like it too its cool
*Holding a can of Red Bull* "I want a long and healthy career".
I lmao at this! those things are filled with toxins!
Nick Landry red bull pays me to have a long career.
MANCHESTER UNITED F.C there’s 195 countries in the world

+WhoIsDeyman this was actually really funny lmao
:D
WhoIsDeyman I'm only 6'0 though lol
Carmelita is freaking amazing. She is a phenomenon to watch
Wow. Carmelita is an amazing coach. Great on Blake for being a student of the craft.
"Now let's have some fun"
"Yeah,something like that"
this guy wont quit wont give up untill hes the best
When Blake Griffin trains at your old high school
what high school is that? that's really cool
+Michael Mandeville birmingham high in van nuys CA
Birmingham high somwhere in California
Allen C where the hell is that 😂😂
This is so cool watching my favorite athlete try out my sport. The entire video I was like "I do those warmups!"
i cant believe she thought he was 6'6
Yoo u funny
Charlie Brown Shes only 5'4😂😂
6'5 or 6'6? That was too funny. She probably would've asked KD if he was 6'7- 6'8. Lol. He'd be like naw. I'm 7 feet.
what Blake Griffin is doing right here is being smart. he's combining the athleticism of elite sprinters with his basketball game
I wanted to see them race
+TwerleJPlik folick blake would lose hands down.
+Tan. P San of course he would, the guy is 6-10/250 against a world class runner:p
+Tyson Sprinter Blake is one of the most skilled and athletic Power Forward ( or Power Guard) of this generation of Basketball. Blake's pretty fast for his size and weight, but he is definitely not a world class runner.
+Tyson Sprinter Usain Bolt is another level. At this point he's fighting himself to beat his own records, truly an amazing athlete.
+Tyson Sprinter It's not a knowledge competition
She was mad cool when I met her last year. She also has an inspiring story to tell for all athletes who aspire to compete on the collegiate level.
shes a great coach.
She was coached by John Smith and Ralph Mann, two of the best biomechanicists around -- and both former world record holders themselves. Blake seems like a really bright, analytical guy.

Blake is so nice. He has such a good dynamic with everyone.
her screaming is so motivating xD like i wanted to go run
This is how you become the best, perfecting all the physical characteristics: Strength, Speed, Power, Jumping etc...
"I want a long and healthy career" *holding redbull can heading to track*
he gets paid to hold it, not necessarily drink it
should've done a 40m sprint comparison, before and after. that would've been cool to see if he actually got faster, and if so, by how much
+Armed Society it really does make you faster there's a reason why sprinters always have techniques
He's not gonna get faster after 1 workout
+MMC he probably would because of the fixed technique
Evan Potter True, but you can only go so much by a fixed teqnique, you need to actually get faster and quicker along with teqnique perfection
+Evan Potter he would do worse, learning it takes focus and energy adapting to it. It will take time until he will get better
I really like this series. It's cool to see athletes in other elements.
She`s a great coach.
0:55 feels like the beginning of an adult movie skit
My old high school! I loved Birmingham senior high school! Great times there.
its crazy cause as a 300 hurdler and middle distance runner i run and try and stay big with a big chest and have a good cycle, but being a college d3 football player and more specifically wide receiver they try and change your running form into one where you have a hard lean. this is where cross training for me can sort've be hard. i got to the ohio div 1 regional meet so its not like im slow but its such a different running form between the 2 sports.
+anthony jones also he could work on his cycle. he may be wasting some time with his foot coming too far up towards his butt. but idkcool video though
Forreal I have great top end speed in track and I do great but I'm tall so I'm not quick and my football game suffers.
I also do the 300 hurdles
+Dylan Porter yup same exact situation for me. I'm running indoor track though and am going to be running some sprints hopefully faster in football and track haha
its so cool to see athletes respect and appreciate other athletes! plus u can learn a thing or 2 you never knew
Big ups to Redbull and Blake Griffin. The Crossover is a great series.
Carmelita is still fine as hell!!
AMShute she is still pretty
Yessssir
I really wanted to see him run a 400.

I really want to learn the start posistion when I run
Coach: "Keep your head up"

he seems down to earth
her voice though..
this has got nothing to do with cross training, but everything to do with advertising. well done red bull
i like her! i did a few exercises she showed us there in my sprint video
I coach basketball. She could coach anything she put her mind to. That's how it's done.
What's the name of the song starting in the video
I need this woman to be my trainer
She would be a very good Coach for the up and coming 👍👍Since she is a chef she could Teach nutrition with training 👍👍
They should have a NBA track meet
Does somebody knows some websites links that can help/guide me to be better to run?
PLEASE do something like this for distance running!!! Every athlete needs endurance. DISTANCE RUNNING PLEASE!!!!!
