I don't have an RG35XX, but a RP3+, but I always enjoy seeing videos covering other products. The tip about muting audio whilst fast forwarding was genius, I didn't know about that. Thanks :D
Where the fuck were you 21 years ago, when we needed you?!? Yes, cheers to all Sega Dreamcast users, but regardless your generation, ask your parents if you have to, WHY ARE YOU JUST NOW FINDING OUT ABOUT DREAMCAST?!? I don't care for gatekeeping, but damn!!! Unless, you mean there is a Sega Dreamcast 2, then..... link???
Great video! I've been loving seeing how rapidly GarlicOS has been updating. Each time, it makes me like the RG35XX more and more! Additionally, I want to add one more menu tip to your mute volume when fast forward trick (thank you for pointing this out to me btw!). Make sure you go back to the quick menu, click "overrides" and "save core overrides" if you want to make that the default behavior for all roms that run on that same emulator core. Can't wait to see more from you in the future!
Great tutorials and tips. I’ve been playing Pokémon yellow and didn’t even realise there was a way to speed it up . If you do ever get round to adding your own box art. Please do a guide for this. I’ve watched multiple guides and failed so many times I’ve given up … but bios files in general just must not be working ,and I know these are super important for certain games. So yeah if you do tackle it in the future, that would be awesome!!
I'm loving Garlic OS, my only issue I've had is each time I quick save with a save state it creates a new one instead of just overwriting Save State 0 or 1. Hopefully within these last few updates, this has been fixed.
@@jinstinky501 what Sushi Sensai said!!! Under Retroarch, go to "Saving" or "Saves", yeah? There is a tick box.... "Auto increment save states [-||]" CLICK THAT/TOGGLE THAT TO *OFF* SUCCESS!!! NOW, don't cry if you accidentally save over a good save state because you forgot to swap save slots. 😃
Can you please show the rewind and fast forward featuring, also save states in Garlic OS? Is my only break at the moment for not getting one. No body review that features. Is a deal breaker for me in gba
What do you need to know? Menu + L1 to go slow, Menu + R1 to go fast. Menu and L2 or R2 loads and saves. It also auto states when you power off or leave a game so that it can resume. You can also Menu+X to change slots and save or load.
GarlicOS is making some games lose video signal. Screen becomes black but the sound keeps on playing. It's strange, no changes on Retroarch, it's stock settings from the image file from Black Seraph. Any tips?
Because the power button just shuts it down rather than turning off the screen like before, yes. The stock OS leaves it in this screen off state too long before shutting down.
Bro help, I have everything installed, everything is working perfectly but I can't get fast forward to work properly on GBA games like Pokémon rom hacks, like glazed I saw u were playing, how can I fix this??
@@shanecraigtech okay I already didn't know those button were a shortcut for that, so tnhx, but when I activate fast forward now it's very stuttery EDIT: okay I got it to work some settings in frame throttle were fucked, thnx for the help, all i really needed to know was the button to activate fast forward
Hey, have you had any issues with settings not being saved when switching games? Even if I just hit menu and going right back into the same gamemenu my filters, scaling options and everything reset
Update: if edited through retroarch directly they will save, but that's still a problem as I would have to change it literally everytime for each game. Older update let me change each game setting in each game :/
@@shanecraigtech so the same thing happened with you too? I finally figured out how to manually save settings per game, but I SWEAR it saved settings by game automatically before, maybe I'm just crazy
Hey sir, check out Skraper!!! (Unpaid/unsolicited endorsement) Even if you've got but Bratz: The Movie for GBA in a folder, it does scrape entire folders/organizes/lots of taste-may-vary options for you to find the artwork you prefer! Mobygames also offers lots of results, for games you may be missing artwork from, or alternatives (if you'd like promotional art, screenshots, whatnots).... But ye, Skraper is nice!!!

i love seeing all these developments with this system especially since it hits that gameboy itch with the multiemu support
Sorry to pop it here but just got my SD2 today! First time in the hand and OMG how can you not love it! 😍 Cheers to all SD users!

Tha KS for the video bud. It's really getting interesting. I'm not sure for how long, but I appreciate all the quick wins and improvements 👍🏾

Are there “winning eleven 3” and/or “winning eleven 4” (PS1) on that device? Those are soccer games.
So what's a better choice? The new RG35XX or the rg351V? I wanna know because I wanna console that's not too tiny for my hands.

I feel this. I end up having a billion save states 😂
@@shanecraigtech I've made a game out of it, try to beat each Mega Man game with under 100 save states. lol
That's easy. Go to the Reroarch from the main menu, under Saving, search for the auto save increment thingy and turn it off.
That's driving me crazy. Same issue with my rg353m/botecera os

He's been very active on Twitter, it would be a good idea to get specific about which games and send him some information.
Has the crashing while idle bug been fixed yet? If you just leave it on it seems that just freeze after a while.
On Garlic OS? This isn't a bug I've encountered.
Ive encountered it quite a bit. As of the update yesterday it wasn't fixed, ill let ya know about today's

Yeah it did. I ended up just editing the config file by hand. I couldn't find a method that saved anything.

why not make a video on how to install it using a mac
Because I do not have a Mac and wouldn't know how if I did. Never used one more than a couple confusing minutes.
