Nice review! I think it has HDMI 1.4 and only one Type-C because it's only a 400 series device, and not because it's an old design. Even 800 series have the barrel charger port. Also I noticed the power button in the keyboard. So how can it be waken from sleep in tablet mode? Can you touch the screen to wake it up or something?
Thanks ! True, I guess I was comparing it other competitors and you can configure the laptop with a USB C charger. If that's the case, why not swap out the power jack so that you can use it to either charge or a USB C device ? I feel like you have a lot more flexibility with an extra port. Unfortunately, mine died the first week, so I no longer have one anymore, but I don't think you can touch the screen to wake up which now makes me think HP putting the power button on the keyboard as a bad idea. I recently got my hands on a Thinkbook 14s Yoga and had a Latitude 7390 2 in 1 and their power buttons were on the side of the laptop.

@@mistahcheng I think doing a hardware variant with a different board costs a lot of money. Yeah 2 type-c ports would be better, but at least it's a DP1.4 one. Unfortunately the ports are differentiating factor for a lot of manufacturers. (Limiting the number of ports, or their capabilities ) It's unfortunate that yours died. I have a X13 Yoga currently, and it too has a side mounted power button. I don't know how HP tought that moving the power button to the keyboard would be a nice idea. And this was one of the first device with this, but all the new x360 devices have this.
I'm assuming you want to connect a charger and monitor through USB C ? If so, I believe there are USB hubs / docks that will allow you to do this. Otherwise, you can connect your monitor through HDMI as well.
@@mistahcheng I have a monitor which has usb-c passthrough for both display and power. So with my current fell xps I only need one cable which I'm opening to replicate with the hp
@@verygoodbrother If your monitor has passthrough, I don't think you should have any issues with the HP. Unfortunately, I don't have a monitor that does this, so I'm unable to verify this.
I have got same brand HP x360 435 GF model but it has only 1 camera on the screen. Do you have any idea why it doesn’t have the other camera sensor on the corner of the keyboard?

@ I agree it would cost more money to update the board. I just wanted to let other people know in case they need a HDMi 2.0 port or 2 UB C ports.
can you charge the laptop via usb-c and display to an external monitor at the same time?

Does it come with a pen?
It does not, but you can purchase one separately.

It's an optional camera. You may need to order one configured to order tk be able to get the second camera.
Is there no pen?
I don't think there was an option to order one, but it looks like there's at least 3rd party options.
