    Doug,on behalf of Bravebird Workwear, I would to extend my deepest gratitude and respect to you and all the Conde Staff. I knew NOTHING about this industry when I started, but you guys were patient and bias toward the success of my endeavors. You tackled this situation live at the show and taught us all some valuable tips that I use to this day. I recommend every client attend a live show, its so much better when you meet the staff live! Please tell David Gross hello, and I hope Larry Kirby attends the show and we miss Brittany!!!

    Doug, this video is a great help and the hint from onclebob11 is slick too. I use both Photoshop Elements and CorelDraw and this tutoral will save me lots of time when preparing a bitmap file to use for a self-weed transfer.
    Keep those tutorals coming!

    Hello Doug, I like your videos, I learn a lot from them, but I'd wish to save you and the people who watch this tutorial a lot of time.
    May work with Photshop elements because I can see the checkbox on you video and does work with Photoshop.
    Have you noticed the "contiguous"check box in the magic wand options ? If you uncheck it and select any white aera in your picture, it will select all the white areas from the document , even the inner parts of the letters.
    Please go on with the great job !

      Thank you for the feedback and the advice. I know enough about Adobe Photoshop to be "extremely dangerous", so any pointers I can get are greatly appreciated!

    I have tried this but it is still covering the entire transfer sheet with white toner. I am using elements 14. Any other suggestion?

      The issue is Adobe Photoshop Elements. It does not allow a "clipping path" to be used like true Photoshop. Here is what you will need to do: (1) Use the magic wand to highlight the white area you want to remove, (2) Click on "Select", then "Inverse", (3) Ctrl + X to cut the graphic, (4) Open a new file with a transparent background, (5) Ctrl + V to paste, (6) Save the file as a PNG with a transparent background, (7) Import the file into another graphic program, like Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator, (8) Send file to your White Toner printer. I would also suggest purchasing some colored bond paper to test your graphic before loading transfer paper.

    Great vid, on 9:31 how did you manage to print the logo in face up? if i try to print from PS with the 711wt, because the only driver is Post Script i can only print the image face down with a white base layer, you have printed it face up with no white base layer, please advise
    thank you

      Not quite sure what you are asking, so I will assume it is mirroring or reversing the graphic for transfer printing. Understand the OKI C711wt (PS) driver has a mirror printing function, and the default setting is this feature is enabled. So, check your driver settings on your printer. You need to be able to mirror or reverse your output if you are printing t-shirt transfers.

    can this be done with a photo instead a logo?

    • @condesystems
      @condesystems  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, if the "canvas size" of your photo is larger than the actual photo size, and you want to eliminate the white background. Then again, you can crop the photo or resize the "canvas" in Photoshop and achieve the same effect.

    Can you print from photoshop elements or did you print from corel draw?

    • @condesystems
      @condesystems  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doug is using Corel, but you can print from either.

      It still leaves a white box and photoshop element its worse than illustrator, elements covers the entire sheet , illustrator a box of white just behind the graphic, ive tried the steps above and its still not working

      If you are working with a bitmap in Adobe Photoshop Elements: (1) clip or cut your design from the "white background" of your bitmap, (2) Open a new blank file and assign a "transparent background", (3) Paste your design onto the new transparent background, (4) Save file as a PNG with transparent background, (5) Import PNG into another graphic software program (like Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator), (6) Send file to OKI White Toner printer. If you try to print straight from Adobe Photoshop Elements, your file will ALWAYS print with a solid white background. This is a known issue or "bug" between PS-E and the OKI driver.

    TIP: unlocking the contiguous button when magic wand is selected will allow you to select all the white with 1 click on the white background.
