Converting My 1 Ton Winch Truck To Long Poles Part 3

I need my winch truck with gin poles to have a much longer height for pulling a couple of cabs. in this part I fix the bent pole and get ready to pull the cab of the truck Roxanne. #cummins #ford #superduty #oilfield

cool, would it help with some sort of cross brace if not 2 between the poles, like at 5 & 10 foot marks from the top?

I don't think it would since the gin pole design is very strong to side loads. Having the proper angle is definitely best. There could be some things like belly wires half way up the pole or something but these are supposed to be handy and easy. When I make a permanent long set they will be both sizes of pipe all the way up and I'm going to go with 15' too, these are too long to fit under wires.
