      The 85 inch is $22,000! That’s like half a year of a teacher’s salary! No way any public school could afford that. Although it would be awesome if they could!

      I priced this out for an SMB and this is a very very expensive product meant for fortune 500 corporations. It is not a home device by any stretch of the imagination. At $CDN75,000, a tier-one elite private school would be able to afford one but regular schools, not a hope! There are many cheaper touchscreens displays. Get one that supports Chrome cast from a laptop to it and you can do this for $5000.

      What's up mate, i'm also and AV Technician who setup lot of SH2S in my job but after seeing this video, i have one question
      In France our Surface Hub are delivered with a W10 Teams Edition, a Windows version very reduce compare to a "classic" Home edition
      On our product, we cannot have the taskbar and all the original interface of Windows, but a dedicate interface with those application : Teams / PaperBoard / Connect / Edge Chromium / Office Suite
      So how the girl in this vid can have a classic Windows experience on it ?

    • @KreAtorGames
      @KreAtorGames 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lcrts oh that’s most likely because it came pre-installed with tablet mode enabled, you want to disable that. Their are two ways of doing so. On the Home Screen click the ‘Notification Center’ icon at the bottom right. Their should be an icon named ‘Tablet Mode’ and tap that toggle to disable it.
      If after a restart or signing in and it reverts, you want to configure the Settings of Tablet Mode. Go to Start>Settings>System>Tablet choose appropriate settings for turning it off fully, or having the ability to switch between.

Hopefully the software is available on other devices -- wouldn't be so helpful if EVERY employee needed one of these specifically to work on the same thing in different places.

      @@christinaandwena8917 well first of all its Microsoft so their products are always a bit more expensive since they have excellent build quality, which is almost or equal to the quality of apple products. The other thing is this round Windows, smart TVs don't run Windows. Nor do smart TVs have a touch screen and support pen input and nor do smart TVs have a camera. Smart TVs are also not portable like this one since this is on wheels. This also has many collaboration features that no smart TV has. Smart TVs are for home use, this is meant to be used in a commercial setting such as offices and schools, and not in homes. Maybe in the future it will be meant for homes but for now it is made only to be used in a business setting.

    • @damianxavier7343

      @@jpquebec123 Well it doesn't exactly look exactly the same, but yea the Samsung one is good but this is a surface product and as I said earlier surface products come at a premium price point for their build quality. The Samsung doesn't run Windows which wud have been much better but obviously that does not justify the price point. Feature wise they are abt the same. You can't exactly say that the Samsung has more features, they both have around the same amount of features. Huawei also has a great board. In my country all the top government schools are being converted to smart classrooms and they actually finished one entire school. They had put in the Huawei boards with the trestle thing and they work incredibly well, especially with online school. Google jamboard is also amazing, there is one at my father's office and that is great but it costs 5k

      @@damianxavier7343 At least you know it's overpriced, doesn't even have a decent GPU. I know it's not for gaming but for something at it's price, should have come with a 1050 at least or an entry level Amd graphics solution

    • @christinaandwena8917
      @christinaandwena8917 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@damianxavier7343 bruh the surface line has had chronic issues since day one. They seem to have sobered up a bit since the surface pro 5, but the 4 and below suffered from touch, DOA, and flickering issues. Smart boards can be portable, it depends on the model you buy; commercial setting doesn’t give something the right to be massively expensive, it is merely a suggestion. Running windows isn’t it either; it runs on damn near everything, and I bet in this case it is nothing more than a motherboard connected to the screen via an internal DisplayPort connection. You could say the build quality and touch screen are why, but it still seems rather steep. It’s not like you can punch the thing, it’s still vulnerable to damage.
