Ferras gives an inimitably "French" touch to this masterpiece using his fast vibrato and quicksilver bow-arm to achieve delicate shades combined with passionate outbursts.
Marc Tettiravou
lulz Bebussy... bedussy? what? O.o; aaaanyway, it's Debussy therefore certain things are open to interpretation. the fast tempo is unusual to me; most recordings i listened to don't take such a fast tempo but whatever, it's so open to the performer's interpretation i guess?
Wow incredibly full of color, passion with unlimited different characters. Has definitely become my favorite violinist.

Gorgeous version of this gorgeous composition.
Today it is exactly 30 years ago that Christian Ferras died. What a marvelous musician he was.

@billyguns2 it's so true. His and Neveu's sound have this dark pathos about them. with Heifetz, all with a common thread.

Izvinitie.

i mean the execution is too fast
waaaay too fast!
Of course you know much better than these outstanding French musicians! (It's also possible the the transcription of the recording is a bit too fast)
"It's different than what I'm used to, so it must be wrong."
too fast, for the bebussy dinamic
Apart from your spelling mistakes, this is a silly comment. These are top French musicians!
