Life-long Indiana Jones enthusiast here. I loved every minute of the new movie (and thoroughly enjoyed the final third). Great performances all around, served with good pacing and a beautiful score (though the soundtrack was mixed a bit too low and occasionally drowned under all the sound effects). Didn't look nearly as CGI-heavy as I was fearing it might, though it definitely did have it's fair share of CGI (and some of it did look plastic). I have only a few minor nitpicks regarding unused possibilities, but no real issues with anything seen in the movie. 8/10 from me.
Thank God for this video! 😅 I, too, am tired of scrolling through TH-cam reviews of this movie only to find that most of them are unjustifiably hateful rants. Where are all the people from Rotten Tomatoes and Social Media who genuinely seem to enjoy this film?
I saw this at the weekend and agree with everything you said. Its a fun adventure film and I feel people either had too high expectations or were never going to be satisfied either way. The de-aged Harrison Ford was fine and didnt look ropey to me at all, but people would be complaining if we'd had an entire film like that. This took HF 's age into account and asked what would Indy be like now, and did a good job with it. Definitely agree that the car chase went on a tad too long, and the whole divorce thing felt a bit like a wrong note (though the reason was understandable). I also think the secondary baddies needed more explanation as to why they were going along with the whole plan .
I loved the movie, went in expecting it to fall short, but also knowing none of the movies lived up to the original raiders (even though I love them all). I enjoyed seeing the progression of this character throughout his life and that he's still fundamentally the same rogue character from the beginning.
It's a good film. Obviously it's no Raiders, but I thoroughly enjoyed it - I'm still a kid at heart and my heart wasn't disappointed! It would 've been amazing if Ke Hey Quan was written into the script (and mentors Teddy), but maybe a good script writer can make something happen in the future!
I loved the film too! Sick of seeing all the stupid hatefulness buzzing everywhere. Thank you for your honest review! I gave it at least an 8, maybe 8.5, out of 10 compared to the original trilogy, considering that they are a 10. So, I guess that's close to your score out of 5. That's with only my first viewing. I really did enjoy it.
I also loved this film, twas a shame I was half awake when watching it because I flew halfway acroos Canada to watch it with my buddy :) How good does that HJ hat feel ???
The time travel aspect REALLY didn’t work for me. I thought it was goofy and stupid. The kid flying around in the other plane felt so unnecessary. The rest of the movie I thought was… fine.
I loved the time travel stuff I thought they did it quite well, It made the other supernatual stuff in the other films (such as crystal skull) seem alright.

Respectfully, I disagree. After the first 20 minutes of the movie, it was disappointing and lazy writing. A bit boring and chase scenes were meh.
Ok. I do still like it.

I’m looking forward to its digital release tomorrow. Will be watching again in my living room wearing my HJ hat.
