When watching this game, all I can see is lack of development. Lack of development from the TE position,Wr's,and quarterback. That's a coaching issue, whether it's from picking the wrong 4-5 star players who are just good high school players or the coaches are terrible at developing players. Either way, coaching is terrible.

This Navy team lost to Notre Dame (51-14), Rice (24-10), and Tulane (35-0)! In the final game of his 3rd season as Oklahoma head coach, BV's offense and defense was far worse prepared & coached today against NAVY than Tulane and Rice were.

All I can say is with the Transfer Portal and NIL being as they are, success and failure will always be one season away. The Defense was good, but the Offense was poorly coached. OU has at least one more season with this guy. If Arbuckle can make the difference and the Sooners get some boys that break good then OU could have a good season. But right now I'd say the chance of more then 8 wins is around 37%

Thune and Clinton broadcasting here just keep trying to find anything to pump up. And when we have a losing season again hopefully people will look at what actually is going on. As a long time fan, ticket holder , this is rock bottom! And Venables just keeps talking BS about defense, but where are the safeties . Time to get into reality boys. With all of our talent , we’re just a bad football team.

Hawkins is very athletic and does have a strong arm. OTOH, he is undersized and looks lost on a lot of plays. He does not look like a qb who has command of the game when he is on the field.
