Yes but a normal game would be 2 people, except when playing doubles when it would be 4 people, no where near 12 people. A nova bomb also moves a lot slower than a ping pong ball, so although the round may theoretically last the same amount of time, you get a lot less passes as the game is moving slower.

I didn't know the tether could stay there forever if it hits a sparrow, that could possible be used in combined arms lol. Also it's a bit saddening to see the tether hit someone one and not even kill or damage the person.
One time messing around with friends i stumbled upon the tether glitch. all we do now is queue for big maps and shoot each others sparrows and fly into the enemy. Private match op.
