I would like to say, even as a long time listener and watcher, I frequently forget John’s native language isn’t English, and I speak English very well. It’s my native tongue. I just want to say shoutout to John for learning English so well he can host a podcast with two native English-speakers listening to him read aloud very well. I just think we don’t give enough kudos to him for that. I also know many other people do this and similar things, I just love it more how John does it!
Hello, Filipino here 👋 i just want to say that english is taught in our school curriculum. Most of our school textbooks, and mode of communication in school is in english. Basically it is our second language 😊
She doesn't have to be evil or treating her husband badly for him to feel this way. I feel this alot as me & my partner have different love languages, it takes time to learn how to show love in the right way that means something to the other person. Some people don't feel love through words or gifts, for them love shows in actions. Others need more assurance with gifts, words, ect. Both are correct in their way of thinking, key here is communication & to adjust to satisfy each other.
The story about the "terrible wife" is so cute. Sad, but still cute. They love each other so much and it shows how much some people don't know how to pay attention and show love to each other even when they love one another more than anything. I hope they live happily ever after from now on.
That older brother stepping up to take care of his sister touches my heart. I'm in my early 30s and the idea of raising a kid feels so overwhelming (hence why I only have cats). Kudos to him....
If op has a green card already, she does not have to go back at all! She is legally here and can divorce him already. She should definitely contact an immigration lawyer.
As somone with a green card- not always the case. If she has not been in the country long enough to have permanent residency status then yes, she could be required to leave in the event of a divorce. Depending on the type of card she has the length of time till permanent residency can also change. Back when I had mine we had to apply from outside the US but depending on her circumstances she may have applied for her greencard in-country and therefore have a relatively 'fresh' card.
@adventuresofboris definitely varies per situation. But in this case, her lawyer can dispute that her husband has broken the law and that she already has her life in the states. In any case, she should definitely check with an immigration lawyer to see what her options are. Plus they don't charge for the first consultation, in my experience
@@lizbethhoyos2783 Worth looking into for sure... however, immigration law is notoriously ruthless. As harsh as it sounds, it would surprise me 0% if immigration basically said "Too Bad, So Sad, Go Home." Even when successful, that department is so dehumanizing even when it comes to travel visas... let alone anything you have to 'prove' and 'earn' the way they make you for Green Card status.
Story 2 Everyone in our house gets flowers for their bday. It wasn't until my kids were like what about dad's flowers? So now Dad gets flowers for his bday too. I usually bring him home his favorite M&M's when I go to the store though.
Fun fact related to the posters rant about pooping: in prison that's standard practice. I was a guard for 3 years and inmates would always go with one leg out of their pants just in case they got attacked. Attacking people while they were pooping was a common thing because aside from sleeping you're never more vulnerable. Keep one leg out so you can defend yourself without getting tripped up.
There's a saying going around that "most men will only receive flowers once in there lives, at their funeral" which can be just about flowers in general but can also be interpreted as so many men will never get reassurance that they're appreciated and loved for who they are, not only for what they do. It's so sad when it leads to insecurities, and that combined with the patriarchal "suck it up and bottle it up" attitude that so many men have grown up with creates so many men who feel trapped with their emotions.
That guy in Japan… he should’ve just went and bought some soap beforehand just in case. He said he did research but clearly did not as he didn’t know whether they would be soap. In that situation I would have made sure to be 100% extra prepared with everything I needed just in case, plus why wouldn’t you have a translator app while you were there? Makes no sense
The only "to catch a predator" style show/org i would readily endorse is Undercover Underage (RIP) and the org behind it, SOSA (stop online sex abuse), which works SUPER closely with local law enforcement and also does a ton of education and advocacy outside of their decoy sprints.
Im pretty sure there was (idk if it’s still up)an insta acct that was almost like To Catch a Predator, where they were setting up predators to meet “underage kids” but instead of calling the cops and getting them arrested, it’s just a bunch of people that come out and beat the creep up 🥊
As a former people pleaser I do think that behaviour should not be validated because it is unhealthy and usually it doesn't work out for anyone involved. There needs to be a healthy balance. You can still be kind to people around you but still be able to satisfying your own needs, have healthy boundaries and to be able to stand up for yourself❤️
Chris Hansen from To Catch A Predator worked in conjunction with the police. The only person the predator ever communicated with was a well trained, undercover, savvy police officer. That is, until Chris Hansen walked in and told them to have a seat. Even the questions Chris asked, like why do you have alcohol and are you carrying condoms, were given to him by the cops. Predator was technically under arrest the second they knocked on the door. The rest was just good TV
Story #1: In my area of Ohio, we get a notice in the mail (or email if you sign up) alerting people that a RSO has moved into the area. The offender does not go door to door.✌🏽
Here I am listen at 1:02:58 wondering how I've reached a point where I'm listening to 3 dudes discussing what I consider a pretty standard Indian bathroom as if it were something revolutionary.

I’m a new listener, but I was curious what his native language is?

For the record, I like happy and sad stories equally. It’s the poop/vomit stories that make me peace out.

Yayyyyyyyy John's back!!!!!!!!!
I almost screamed lol. Listening to this while I’m in a bath house!!
So cool!

I said “are the rational decisions in the room with us” right as Josh did 🤣
I donated today and hope to donate again when I get my next paycheck. Thank you for supporting Palestine 🇵🇸 ❤
Thank you so much!! ❤️🍍
brotherhood of the traveling ricky 😂
I think the OP that kept saying "rational" meant to use the word "rash".
So happy that the relationship will improve for OP's husband after he received the flowers
45:21 everyone call out Drake/Audrey every episode 🤣🤣🤣
16:31 Who's Ricky? A fruit fly? Judging by how he swats the air lol
That last "Is this poster okay" activated my fight response, Lion King (original) has been one of my favourite movies since I was a child 🦁
"Tryna strike a chord and it's probably A MINOOOOOORRRRRR"
I keeled over laughing at "before I cut you... with my words" 😂😂
The trio is back! Heck yeah!

As an Italian, I'm always so glad to see you so enthusiastic about bidets 💜
Josh they did in fact mention in the brother/dad story that he took he in when she was born and he was 20

Also communal bars of soap sound sooo unsanitary ?????? Why not bring his own toiletries?
@@Askveronicaright?! I know he said he didn’t have any… but like go buy some? It can’t be that hard to just stop by a store on the way there

I dont think op knows what the words "rational decisions" mean
