For the first story I don't understand him at all!! Like he's allowed to change his mind but why not talk about it?? And lying for 2 years, giving her false hope. Tf?? Didn't he think that she would start questioning herself?
right?? it seems like his plan was for her to just give up on wanting to have more kids. this is your spouse why in the world can you not just say, when you’re experiencing it, ‘hey parenting is a lot harder than i thought, i think my feelings about wanting 4 kids is different after having one’ and fucking TALK ABOUT IT. like my husband and i thought we might want more too but things change when you have a child. the important thing is to talk to the person you chose to live life with not make the executive decision to not only go get a vasectomy, but also not tell her.
He did, but he figured there was a chance that if he refused to give her the 4 kids, she might leave. So instead of talking about all of this like adults, he decided to let her think this was her problem and just keep the marriage going on lies.
Sorry to disappoint guys, but doctors will absolutely refuse to sterilize women unless the husband is present and *HE* decides they are done having children
Sadly yeah, even the absence of husband gives the "what if your future husband" response. So don't forget to get a permission slip from your hypothetical hubby!
My wife was seeking to get her tubes tied. She doesn't want children, among other reasons. Her doctor seemed to be all on board until the end. Changed his mind. It wasn't deemed medically necessary.
Fortunate that this wasn't my experience. I got a hysterectomy just this last October (IN TEXAS???). I was under 30, no children, and unmarried and my obgyn didn't even hesitate when I said I wanted it done. (IN TEXAS???!!!!)
I had to get my (at the time) estranged husband's signature when I needed a hysterectomy because I had intrauterine cancer.....we were estranged because he cheated on me and then gave me divorce papers on Valentine's Day...and my life still depended on that man's signature!
the first one is especially fucked up considering it seems like he was fully prepared to let her go on indefinitely believing that their inability to conceive was her fault and that it was her fault their daughter was growing up alone.
Specially when he was saying stuff like "I'm going to give you a baby" right before they do the deed. Actively saying those things make it all that more malicious
I had a hysterectomy at 28 for Adenomyosis (similar to Endometriosis) I had 2 kids and had been married awhile. I couldn't sign anything in office because my husband wasn't with me. They had to mail the sterilization consent forms to my home.
That’s actually kinda disgusting! My parents always wanted 4, after the 3rd mum had some complications including massive hernias after a C-Section and was told if she got pregnant again she could 💀. She most likely has Endo or similar, and then after that news decided she wanted a hysterectomy. She was 30ish at this time. They refused point blank incase “she changed her mind” knowing full well that wasn’t an option. She tried multiple times over the years and always gets refused. So my dad went and got a vasectomy, only had the “are you sure you’re done with kids?” it was done without them even meeting my mother. She’s now late 40s, and suffering and still can’t have a hysterectomy. I’m 24, and done want kids due to genetic disability I don’t want to pass down. Also have horrible periods which are a pain to deal with on top of my disability, so you think I can have a hysterectomy? Nope! I might change my mind and want to have horribly disabled children, which I would be unable to care for without help, plus my body probably wouldn’t be able to handle it/carry to full term, so it/I could 💀. Not a valid reason apparently?!
@@MochiTheAxolotl69there is a Gynocologist in the US that has compiled a list of other drs and gynocologists that are willing to do hysterectomies for anybody, even young folks like you. if you're in the US it might be worth looking to see if there is anybody in your area/your mom's area and see if you can get in to see them. i'll see if i can find the list and try and link it as well
Why are you lying? Wtf? I just looked it up: "No state mandates spousal consent for this procedure, and any such proposals would almost certainly be found to be unconstitutional"
Most doctors across the entire United States will refuse any form of sterilization from the somewhat (50-80% depending on method) reversible tubal ligation to hysterectomies without a husband's signature. And regardless of martial status they will typically refuse it if you don't have any children already. Even when it's for medical reasons! Even in the case of serious diseases doctors will usually prioritize fertility regardless of the patient's wishes.
Story #1 when I had my oldest I was 27 and asked about getting my tubes tied. I lived in rural Pennsylvania. I was told I had to be over 30 or have 3 kids. My husband would have to sign off. I was 29 with my second in CA and asked if I could have my tubes tied. I was told yes. When I asked if my husband needed to sign anything he said no in this state. He also said there were many of men that had no clue their wives had their tubes tied after being told by Drs it wasn't safe to get pregnant again and they were back pregnant.
I also lived in rural PA most of my life. Interestingly enough, my grandmother was pregnant in 1953 and it was an ectopic pregnancy. She started cramping and bleeding, doctor wheeled her into the or and told my grandfather that he was performing an abortion right then and there. My grandfather went to say that he wanted my grandmother saved at any cost, and the doctor was like, well I can save your wife and not your baby. And he did. And then 10 years later my Aunt and mom were born. So, before Roe my grandmother had an abortion (it was medically necessary and she didn’t even get a chance to give consent or ask for one) in rural Pennsylvania.
The especially messed up thing about sterilization is… my husband had a vasectomy several years ago, I went with him thinking it would be the same way with men it is with women (I know for a fact women can’t get it dont without husband signed consent because I work in the field) and I’m sitting there during the whole spiel the doctor gives, the doctor never once talked to me or looked at me and after he had my husband sign the consent form he started to walk out without ever acknowledging me 😂 I asked “don’t you need my signature?” And the doctor deadass looked at me like I had two heads and said “no why would we need that? He’s the one having it.” And then he left. 😂 WIIIIILD.
My parents always wanted 4, after the 3rd mum had some complications including massive hernias after a C-Section and was told if she got pregnant again she could 💀. The first story is extremely upsetting. I don't even want kids but I still understand that having many children is a dream for some people, and he cruelly took that experience away from her. Sure, she can still have more than one child but in any case (new partner, independent parenthood, adoption etc.) it'll take at minimum a couple of years. The way he went about all this feels almost perverse in some way, like he purposefully kept her hopes up and hid the truth, never even HINTING that maybe life as a father of a large family was not for him after all...
Perverse? How is it perverted? Sure its cruel as hell, very selfish, insensetive, dishonest, and morally wrong in general. But I didnt hear anything indicating perversions or paraphilia or anything like that. 🤔

For the vasectomy story this feels like coersion by deception. I can only tolerate true crime based violent shows and I've had way too many people in my life force me into watching horror movies. Still think about some of the ones I've seen when I didn't want to. ❤ You're a good partner.
You guys need more unions! Parents need parental leave after birth. Do you know how all of the workforce in Denmark got McDonald's to pay Danish workers a fair pay and respect their rights? Journalists pounded them in the press, farmers stopped selling them crops, printers stopped printing, truckers refused to deliver for them, dock workers didn't dock their shipping containers, construction workers refused to build them new locations, even napkinmakers stopped selling them napkins, AND advertisers stopped marketing campaigns for them. AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW?! McDonald's ate their anti union bull, and started paying up. Sorry for the rant 😅
I went back to work day before yesterday with a 9 week old baby. And it made me cry to leave him in the nursery (where I live daycare is required of jobs). Even though he was right there near me all day, I still missed him. With my first, I couldn’t get out of bed after I gave birth. With my second, I could get out of bed, but I was in so much pain. With my third, I left the hospital the next day, but it was still painful and tiring. Now with my fourth, I couldn’t get out of bed for four days (my first c section). And working?! Nah! I had a boss come back full time after two weeks (in America, not my current country). And I’m so glad I don’t live in America anymore.
For the second story, I live in Quebec. I got a doctor’s prescription to get my tubes tied after a LOT of meeting with a lot of different doctors till one agreed to it. When you’re a woman in her 20s, you have to convince the doctor that you really don’t want kids and that you won’t regret it. My bf wasn’t involved in my medical journey and doctors who considered signing on it wanted to talk to me alone so that I wouldn’t be influenced by him. Same thing happened for an abortion, I couldn’t go the the first meeting with anyone so to not influenced by anyone to keep the foetus or not. That’s actually a pretty nice way to do this since a lot of men are very controlling of their partners body.
I’m so glad found you guys through TikTok! I’ve been binging all the episodes and am obsessed! Thank you providing some adult entertainment while I stay at home with my 1 year old son. Keep up the good work!
Yeah the vasectomy one, I had 2 very high risk and difficult pregnancies with a miscarriage in between. I was advised towards the end of my last pregnancy to think about maybe not having more children, too much risk. I said ok yes i agree. He said it would probably be easiest and best to have a tubal done immediately after my daughters c-section. I said yes do that I'll sign the paperwork. He says oh wait no you can't, your husband has to agree and also sign. I replied with "I'm sorry what?" Which he was just like, yeah it's just how it is.
a suggestion for the venmos: instead of not reading them, maybe only read venmos of $10+ (or whatever number you choose) - this might create an incentive for peeps to donate more!
Today I found out (from Sean on a members only episode) that I'm a gangsta! So, I found you guys last week & I've been binging episodes like crazy. I've loved every minute. So, I followed your directions to patreon & bought a monthly rich rich sub. Then I went to watch bonus content on my TV & did a TH-cam join membership too. IRL I'm far from rich, but I figured I could spare $10/mo for y'all because you've brought me so much laughter. I'm a retired nurse & live alone in Wisconsin, so I'm close to you, Josh! I adore all 3 of you & appreciate how open you are with absolutely everything. Thanks for the laughs, Sean, Jawn, & Jawsh. 😂😉 P.S. your fur babies are wonderful & your better halves are all so beautiful!
So the story about the vasectomy, many doctors will not tie your tubes without your husband’s “permission” and being at least 30+ unless there’s a major health threat.
Wow. Gross. The US amazes me with how it treats women. Friend of mine is a lesbian and married to a woman. She tried to get I think a complete hysterectomy because she has terrible menstrual cycle issues and they wouldn’t let her because she was “too young”. She’s like I am child free and don’t date men…
I was at the chemist earlier and got so distracted by the pineapple emoji convo that it took me much longer to find what I was looking for because of it 😂
You guys are so funny. I find it hilarious that you guys still don’t know what colic is, even after it being in so many stories 😂😂 For clarification, colic is when air bubbles get stuck in the baby’s stomach, causing painful stomach aches, and gas. My baby had it for a few months. I had to get specific bottles with vents, so it would lessen air bubbles. But even with burping, and everything else, some babies are just more colic-y than others. So yes the baby does cry a lot, and it can cause them to not sleep…. But that’s not all it is. So you were kind of half right, Josh? 😂
Oh yeah the doctors might even refuse to tie someone's tubes based off the assumption that they might, at some point in the future, meet a man who is able and wants to have a children (which the implication is he would then have a right to use the patients body for that)
I had a c-section go wrong this is very triggering. What a horrible guy Gross. Protect your child/children from this angry man-child! Abuse is admissable in court..
(1st story) He 100% downloaded the app because he wanted her to be convinced there was something wrong with HER and that’s the reason they’ll never have another kid. (Unless he decides to reverse it in the future, also without telling her) He wanted to gaslight her into thinking she was infertile in hopes she’d just give up.
48:08 not to be pedantic, but Ireland (at least the Republic/South) is very famously not a part of the UK. While you could make the argument that Ireland (the island) is the second largest island of the British Isles, this name is in itself controversial.
The funny thing about the first story. If OP files for divorce and marries another man that'll give here the kids she wants, people would be calling her a ton of names for ruining their family. The guy would probably post on reddit asking if he's an a-hole for having the vasectomy.
In the first story, to me, having sex under false pretenses and lying about it like that is assault. Would she have had sex with him as often and much if she wasn’t trying for a baby? It seems he wanted to take advantage of the frequency of when trying for a baby, or maybe he has a breeding kink and he took advantage of her in that way. It feels like assault.
With thise with uterus', the individual has to be 1. Over 25. 2. Already have at least one or two kids. 3. Have husbands signature/go ahead. The doctors will literally pull the "what about your future husband? What if he wants kids?"
Not to be mean to OP in the first story, but I don't like it when parents put/project their feelings onto their kids. Yes, OP felt alone when growing up, but not everyone does. I didn't, even though I have an older sister, she'd already moved out so I never lived with her in the house, it was just me and mom. If anything, OP will project her old childhood feelings onto her daughter. Also, just because you have kids that are close in age, it doesn't guarantee that they'll get along or even be friends with each other.
With story #1, it seems like the husband was taking advantage of OPs desire for children to get more sex. I don't know if this would be classified as rape but the fact that he continuously used that fact, despite knowing he had gone out of his way to make it impossible, to engage in sex with her feels so disgusting and assault-y
Story three with the mom working just two days after giving birth has to be completely false. I understand that somewhere this is happening. There were just several details in that story that I find unbelievable. Like for starters, how could an employee have two small children behind the counter at a restaurant? I don’t think anybody can just walk back there or hang out back there for so many reasons, including sanitation.
What did he mean when talking about the "number of holidays in America"? That comment made no sense. Did he believe that Americans are legally required to take off work on holidays? Clearly not true. Did he mean "paid vacation days"? Cause theres no legal requirement for that in America, some jobs dont even offer that. Has this man never worked a traditional job in his life?
Wow, I feel you're you're actually being intentionally obtuse. Obviously he meant paid days off. I feel like if you listened more carefully you might understand things better.
I dont believe the first story is real. You may be able to go on about your business after a vasectomy, but most dudes are stuck at home icing their balls for a a day or 2 after the procedure. Theres no way she wouldn't have noticed that :/
I knew a guy who went to work the day after. But other people I've known suffered. Like everything in life, it is never the same for everyone. Maybe he was a lucky one.

Seans' biggest enemy is doing the intro! 😂😂
a suggestion for the venmos:
instead of not reading them, maybe only read venmos of $10+ (or whatever number you choose) - this might create an incentive for peeps to donate more!
4 kids is too much brah 💀💀 2 is great, 3 is alright, above that is crazy to me
I just gave birth to my fourth recently. 😂
I love smiling friends!! I recommend it!!
So the story about the vasectomy, many doctors will not tie your tubes without your husband’s “permission” and being at least 30+ unless there’s a major health threat.
14:56 in some places a woman needs a husband’s signature or approval to get their tubes tied
Wow. Gross. The US amazes me with how it treats women. Friend of mine is a lesbian and married to a woman. She tried to get I think a complete hysterectomy because she has terrible menstrual cycle issues and they wouldn’t let her because she was “too young”. She’s like I am child free and don’t date men…
Yay I was so excited to click on the time bar and realize the episode is sooo long 🎉
I was at the chemist earlier and got so distracted by the pineapple emoji convo that it took me much longer to find what I was looking for because of it 😂
You guys are so funny. 😂
New shirt idea: the "I don't always [insert thing], but when I do" meme but it's John said "I don't always wish violence on people, but when I do"
Oh yeah the doctors might even refuse to tie someone's tubes based off the assumption that they might, at some point in the future, meet a man who is able and wants to have a children (which the implication is he would then have a right to use the patients body for that)
Just realized that is John on your thumbnail😅 ❤
I had a c-section go wrong this is very triggering. What a horrible guy Gross. Protect your child/children from this angry man-child! Abuse is admissable in court..
Yep, and that man is definitely abusive!
I want an update on story 1
With thise with uterus', the individual has to be 1. Over 25. 2. Already have at least one or two kids. 3. Have husbands signature/go ahead. The doctors will literally pull the "what about your future husband? What if he wants kids?"
My mom originally wanted 3-4 kids.... I'm an only child. Personally liked being an only child
1:09:49 and that’s how I met your mother 😂
I love these videos
Not to be mean to OP in the first story, but I don't like it when parents put/project their feelings onto their kids.
Yes, OP felt alone when growing up, but not everyone does. I didn't, even though I have an older sister, she'd already moved out so I never lived with her in the house, it was just me and mom.
If anything, OP will project her old childhood feelings onto her daughter.
Also, just because you have kids that are close in age, it doesn't guarantee that they'll get along or even be friends with each other.
Bye Chris the house was a gift from her family take your Joy, daughter, and meet someone new who wants a family with you. He's a liar and a fraud.
Hi from swfl!!!
With story #1, it seems like the husband was taking advantage of OPs desire for children to get more sex. I don't know if this would be classified as rape but the fact that he continuously used that fact, despite knowing he had gone out of his way to make it impossible, to engage in sex with her feels so disgusting and assault-y
I love you guys I’ve been watching from the beginning but I wish sometimes you’d switch it up from bad husbands to crazy drama or shock
Never been to a cheaper chinese restaurant then. I used to do my homework with them 😅
You haven’t been to restaurants with children in the back?? I’ve been to a few where the staff or owners kids are chilling in the back.
🤣🤣♥️♥️
Been to Russia years ago. For me no interest in going back, most middle eastern countries, India, as well
2nd story it could very much be a cultural difference (About the tv shows, this guy sucks!)
