Hey everyone, I hope you like this short video from the canoe trip I did with Derek on the weekend. Had a great time and it was really good to be back out on the trail.
@@TrailguidePictures ahhh gotcha looked very very similar to a site my brother and i stayed at on the highland backpacking trail just a couple of days before you were up there.
Wonderful sunset, if it wasn't for the tree branch you wouldn't be able to tell which was the sky or the reflection. Those views are what make all the hard work well worth it! Looks like you had a great time, I can't wait to get out again this season :)
Thanks. Yeah, I actually try to keep something in the foreground of my time-lapse shots (especially if they have additional movement) it helps give it a bit of depth I think.
Hi Jason, would you have any recommendations for a guided tour similar to this for beginners? I see there are some tour companies in the area but guessing it could easily feel crowded. Do you know anyone that does small groups or tailored tours? Thanks!
Hi Jason. My wife and I did Rock, Pen, Clydegale and back from the 20th - 23rd. First day at the Rock-Pen portage, a surface gust hit us abeam and put the lee side gunnel under. We took on about 4 gallons but we managed to right it (not sure how we pulled that off). On shore, collecting our wits, another couple left the portage and the same thing happened to them - but they went over. We got them out (and got very wet in the process). Luckily, they had clothes in a dry bag and they were on their way out. We spent the rest of the trip never more than 50' from the shore, which added a significant distance to our route. Stay safe.
Great video... enjoyed the ending with all the loon calls... New Subscriber and looking forward to more content... I noticed your buddys welland shirt... I am a Niagara Boy as well... all the best... Dennis... AKA Canoehound
Ah, that's good. There were a couple shots I wasn't too happy with but over all I thought it was half decent. Last night I was wondering if maybe you watched it while TH-cam was still processing it. Thanks Kim!
Neat video. If you keep camping, fishing, and hiking in Algonquin, you're likely to run into Shawn James. He was at the same camp you guys were at at then end of your video probably a week before you guys.
The Doc bustin out the old Backpackers Pantry Oven! He knows what’s up 👍🏻
Ahoj Jason krásné video.👍🌲🌲🌲
Děkuju!
Very relaxing video, Derek was bringing the gun show out. Always love seeing you paddle your beautiful canoe and explore the backcountry.
Lol. Yeah, the brother certainly has the cannons!
Thanks for watching.
Wow, that sunset was amazing! Great Videos Jason!
Thank you.
Great trip Jason! Thanks for letting us drop in...
Ah, no worries! Thanks for watching.

Hey Jason, where was that first campsite? Wouldn't happen to be on Head Lake was it?
Daisy Lk. 🙂

My goodness, that timelapse at the end was beautiful. 🌅👍
It sure was. Thanks!
Great video! What lake is this great site on, with the sunset views?
This makes me want to go camping.

@@TrailguidePictures definitely, you need the foreground or everything looks flat.
The mirror was stunning :)

What Derek said. :) Algonquin Basecamp can probably hook you up with him and offer complete outfitting packages.

Wow!
That sunset shot is unreal!!
Enjoyed the outing for sure and the end scene with the clouds reflecting on the water would be a great part to intro you videos. Thanks.
Hmm. Good idea! Thanks

Thanks! And can you believe that was one un-edited audio recording! Spring was in the air and those Loons were having a good time. :)
Good video 🖒
Thanks
So much cake!
Lol. Yep!
Hi Jason always good videos, video quality on this is quite low are you using different camera than normal?
must of been my computer quality is back to 1080p

@@TrailguidePictures that must have been it cause you had just posted it a few minutes ago
come on guys, talk to the camera, not to yourself, can hardly hear you.

Yes, while I was picking up my permit I heard he was in town with his film crew.
@@TrailguidePictures He was in town with The Baird brothers who also have TH-cam channels.
