Really enjoyed this video. Love listening to peoples stories both locals and expats. Your gesture with paying for the meal at the warung was beautiful. In my experience the giving of a gift such as this shows how humble and appreciative people are, and without making a big deal about it, which can be embarrassing for both parties.
I'll be visiting Lombok in seven days - I hope the weather clears up! Your videos have been very informative and I love your positivity. Might bump into you!
Enjoyed the video, thanks! The mystery man from Baghdad was very cool. The sandwich shop should appeal to many. Will you be visiting other parts of the island? Sengiggi is supposed to be a lovely spot. O well back to the 🏏. Cheers
Ha! I'm impressed you're doing the whole test, Marisa? (If indeed you are) "Tiger" was a very interesting character and did have an air of mystery about him, didn't he? I have maybe another two weeks in the south of Lombok then might very well go to Sengiggi. Enjoy the cricket!
Hi Wayne, the village behind main st Sengigi is friendly, then there's the expat subdivision where you Walk around and see nobody, bit like an Australian suburb.😅

Morning Wayne.......I LOVE THE RAIN, But doesnt make for the beautiful bay and beach vibe you may have hoped for. Yet you still found a way to have me/us engaged from the first moment. Sitting here with my first coffee and enjoying the images and the feeling Lombok rain allows me. 🌨🕊🙏💙🙏😁
The contrast between the street side seller and sandwich shop. Reminds me of cycling Laos back in the day and had to prepay breakfast so the street side seller could buy food.
The colour of the banknote suggested a very generous gesture to the warung woman - accepted with gracious surprise and delight! Well worth putting this one up, Wayne. Tapi, bila musim hujan, mesti hujan. ⛈🌧🌈
Hi Kevin. Yes, I'm complaining too much. A question was asked in the comments about the origin of the name "Kuta" - would you have any insights? Cheers.
