      They don't; everything is perception.
The only ppl being influenced by an influencer is sheep.
You'd term influencers, Shepards ... cept their actual designation is protecting sheep ~ and influencers need protection from themselves, so really influencers are sheep with accessories.
Yeh, pretty much; more sheep with sparkly shit...

The ironic thing I realized here is that Dani actually does end up becoming a genuine victim in the end. A victim that she wanted to be from the very beginning. At the start, she pretends to be one to garner attention on social media, actually ending up becoming a real victim of harassment and hate. The very thing she wanted (attention) was given to her with a price in the end. Be careful what you wish for, everybody.
Even if someone would lie about themselves online, I would never want to play a role of "punisher" and harass them for what they did, like that one guy in the store. It's not up to me to decide judgement.

I mean she has a large apartment, she isn’t financially strapped, and her parents have money. So her ‘depression and loneliness’ comes from her not wanting to admit that she’s not a special snowflake who deserves fame. She could have friends and hang out with different people but nope. And the fact that she had a crush on an ‘Eminem wanna-be’ also speaks very loudly in the movie.

This movie is so relatable, especially if you've had the unfortunate experience of dealing with narcissistic individuals. I've experienced a narc in my life use my traumatic experiences as their own life stories to gain sympathy from others. It's a violation that I cannot find the words to express. I'm no contact with this person but I never called them out. Without tangible proof (unless I recruit the support of the other victims that were present in the traumatic events with me, which would be insensitive to them), the narc can lie better than you can tell the truth and their sympathizers are relentless. So while the narc is fine, courageous, and strong...I'm struggling with managing C-PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
