See the problem is you think that it went under water. In actuality the water drained away from the city of Atlantis. Something hit the cross broke the surface the water that was filed on the land sinks with lowest point there for places that were surrounded by water would have been trained away and other places that didn't have water would have sink where the water had overflowed. A lot of stuff happened in that period. And Atlantis is in Africa. I can show you where it's at it's really simple

Look if you are looking for Atlantis then go to the Eye of Africa ( Richart) yes it's not near the Coast, but if you look at the map you can see what looks like the sea has gone inland and then drained away. The inland seas from Australia and America have all drained away so why can't it have drained away after being inundated with the water in Africa. It fits with legend about the mountains ect..there was a river which can be clearly seen.
In a thousand year's from now, when the sea levels rise again and all of our towns and cities today are submerged underwater and have rotted away.. the only thing the marine geologists will find when they dive deep, are the remnants of a Nokia 3310....Wonderful.

This is a timeless documentary. Today, some regions in our country are experiencing prolonged flooding even with light rainfalls - roads and bridges became unpassable, plains are fully covered with muddy water and some residential areas are barely recognizable. Some people began to abandon their houses and business. Probably this is just how the nature works, and probably less than a century from now, people will inhabit highland areas.

I have a similar idea of the great pyramids. I was completely amazed when I saw the movie 5th Element because I have thought the pyramids were so much more than tombs every since I was a kid (I'm 44) so long before that movie was made. I don't necessarily think a weapon but I do believe it's some kind of communication or something and we just don't understand how to turn them on. That information has been lost to time.
when the ice age melted 11000 years ago, the sea level rose about 300ft pretty rapidly. a lot of places would have been wiped out in a matter of a few weeks. unfortunately their entire histories were wiped out, and we can only ever guess of what it was like
Not really considering an ice age that melted. Don’t forget before the ice age there was no ice on Antarctica and the Arctic. The Antarctic was a jungle climate between earth quakes and continental shifts the water is higher

I wonder why these people don't entertain the idea of Atlantis being in Africa at the Richat structure. It is the exact size and layout with rings surrounding it as described by Herodotus. Who was literally called the Father of History. Who also drew a map showing Atlantis in the exact location of the Richat structure. Not to mention the structure itself has massive amounts of salt deposits

I love history thanks for sharing with us all.
after thousands of years water tends to flatten slat and sand stone with pressure and current slowly waddling away the rock into fine sediments, this happens in a simi-symmetrical fashion due to the way these rocks form themselves. the gate steps turtles pool are all a testament to our wonderful sense of imagination and its ability to project itself on our reality

It looks like a stone quarry. There's a Russian documentary about it that was illegally uploaded to TH-cam years ago. I saw it and it showed one or two small, but **perfectly** 90 degree protrusions on one part. That was what convinced me that that part, at least, was not naturally occurring. As for the rest, it's a single piece of rock, but if it was an 'ice age' stone quarry, that would make a lot of sense.
I want to believe, but the structure is just too irregular. If it was built by people, there wasn't a lot of planning because a lot of the "steps" and "walls" are incredibly randomly placed. And if there is no interior, what would the function of the structure have been? I believe there are ancient civilizations lost to the sea, but this isn't one of them.
This is history! How I wish we could teach things like this in our history classes. I was bored in my history classes; this is what I like to learn. Thank you for a beautiful documentary. Imagine that one day we will be an ancient civilization.

Atlantis is not underwater, actually it’s under sand of North African Sahara. When Plato talked about it he pointed to North Africa and many ancient maps said the same.

Imagine the impact of climate change on the early civilizations 1000's of years ago when the oceans were rising at MUCH faster rates than today.
@@wade5941 imagine the fact that if all the ice at both poles melted. Ice covered tundra across the world becomes rich farm land. The oceans will desalinate and begin to heal the coral reeves across the planet.
I wish that we all were apart of building Atlantis how remarkable and perfectly are the shapes of that stoned structure we humans builded that!♥️
Its common knowledge here in Greece that , if you dig or dive near modern cities or around islands, is high likely to come across ancient remnants. Besides Acropolis and the area around Parthenon, Athens is almost built on top of ancient ruins.
It's romantic finding an ancient town underwater, unless it is YOUR civilization. Take care of the Earth, she's all we have.

I’m open minded especially when the tourists showed their video footage of these massive Sharks , many sea creatures survived cataclysms better than land bound animals . I also saw creatures resembling plesiosaurs which I believe exist in small numbers .

why? the sea level was 400 feet lower only 13,000 years ago or so. 90% of our cities are near the ocean, I doubt that was any different back then. That means 50,000 + years of history is under the ocean.
I never chose to study History in Highschool....but now I find it so fascinating watching and learning on TH-cam.
It’s because some teachers make it boring. But on TH-cam everyone is so lively when explaining that it makes it interesting to learn.
The crazy part is I think it’s on dry land on the western side of Africa not too far from the coast in Mauritania.

There are odd enough formations of Circular land masses in concentric rings exactly the dimensions described.
Check it out. It’s not all that far from exactly where it was said to be. Just out side the mediterranean.
The only exception is it’s desert land now that we know it was all once water long ago.
