You described the main elements and techniques really well, it was amazing stuff- SO much great talent out there, and you underlined in his work all the things you’ve always said about warm/ cool, dark/ mid tones, shapes etc. How he dealt with all those boats made me remember my lagoon boats. GROAN. I need to try again. Thanks for another peek at artists.
Just found this video, thank you! Loved it! And when I searched for Nils from your link found that he now has a site and great demos. Love how you pointed out the amazing simplicity of his work. I'm a fan of your site also. Thanks again!
Thank you for this lesson. I find it of real value to hear about the painting process. Repetition of hearing and seeing leads to (finally) having the concepts sink in and applied in my own work!
Fantastic Liron. Great video. I love it. The painting with all the boats is very well done. Its also a very complex painting to attempt. And just great skill
This a artist Cloud. Such beautiful exposure to paintings I've never seen and so inspiring the way you love paintings. You so make me want to paint more n more. Well done. Oh my...
Enjoyed seeing this artist's work, particularly interesting when you explain the various techniques he uses. And I like his muted colors mixed with warm tones, and sharp edges next to impressionistic blurs.
Thanks for another great video showing simplification. I appreciate seeing some of the source photos used. It helps me get a feel for what I should be doing.
My net takeaway for this artist was the way he breaks rules to create effects. I love his monochrome very much. Thanks for the detailed explanations Liron.
Skills I suppose 😉 What I find that really helps, is to actually interpret the scene from a distance. To see the overall picture, and to make sure to paint it LIKE THAT first. And only afterwards to worry about the details within it. Kind of like seeing it in low resolution, temporarily (:
Loved those little details, the vineyards at 8:43 for instance. The last one is probably my favorite. He likes to use that orange-ish pigment (the roof at 7:03 , eg ), which color is that?
That's a great question! Could actually be some kind of red light, or pyrrol orange (PO 71) / Pyrrol Red (PR 254) mixed in. Happy you enjoyed this one (:
I really appreciate you critique and presenting our colleagues. Again a great watercolor artist!
Im learning so much from your videos, you’ve got me passionate about painting again.
I’m so happy to hear that 😊🎨 Thank you
Loved this presentation, and examples are stunning!

Thank you so much Barbara 😁🙏🏼
Happy you enjoyed this one!
Indeed - all the fundamentals are there.
Let me know how the boats' 2nd attempt goes!

Yes, the edges are so good and interesting 😁 Happy you enjoyed 🙏🏼🙏🏼
You just gave me so many ideas of things to try to simplify! And thanks for highlighting this artist. really great stuff.

Same here, I love when artists include the reference 🤩
Thanks Liron. This is a new artist to me. Great to see and hear about the work.
I really enjoyed the guided tour into other artist works as well as your own. Your personality is infectious as well. Rhonda from Mississippi USA
Love it

Great takeaway! (: My pleasure, thank you for watching 😊🙏🏼
his work is amazing…..love his style…does he have his own channel?
Very interesting analysis of study. But it's amazing that you could read a painting as if you are reading a novel... effortlessly.🤪
Haha 😂 Thank you 😁
Wow❣️
Beautiful! and I’m awed by how photo perfect they look from a distance. But HOW?
Skills I suppose 😉

@@LironYan think you are right with the first one (pyrrol orange), searched it on google and it looks the same ;)
Excellent video Liron, my watercolor dreams go in the same direction.
Can you have a review on Watercolor portrait artist, Misulbu? He is very good
I think his battleship painting is one of his best (not shown here).
I was considering using it for the thumbnail! Though I remember including it in the video itself 🤔
@@LironYan Ya, you did use it in the video. My mistake.
His color schemes felt similar to Andy Evansen
I've never been here so early 😍
Haha nice! 😁👏
