My biggest problem with Brendon’s lyrics are that they sometimes don’t seem genuine. Like he’s an amazing singer and musician overall, but I feel like he doesn’t want to open up and be honest lyric-wise which is where the “basic” lyrics come in. That’s why I miss Ryan Ross, his lyrics were so real and raw like he ripped them straight out of his life (Brendon stans please don’t come for me, I love him it’s just one little opinion)

Ryan's lyrics on Fever where brilliantly crafted, but theatrical -- an exaggeration. They come from an honest place, but he wanted to release his emotions by transforming them into adrenaline and caricature. On Pretty. Odd. , they became more ..honest..but also quite whimsical...which captured the entire atmosphere while still retaining layers of meaning. Vices seemed _really_ honest - in the way that all these stories Brendon was creating seemed to spell desperation and confusion and insecurity, even more transparent than Ryan had ever conveyed. Too Weird was a character album..the character being this villian in Vegas, and even though the lyrics are sparse, he and Dallon worked really well crafting this persona DOAB is a lot of ADHD, but I like the lyrics...they honestly attempt to capture this...indescribable... feeling of dissatisfaction at some no-stop party, of galas and going crazy and 'making it' but feeling lonely inside. I'm not sure how much he managed to nail it, but he _was_ expressing some emotion that seems true..different from heart-break, different from Drake whining about the price of fame..........I think DOAB is best expressed by something Brendon said once -- "I'm basically Kanye West + Elmer Fudd"

On doing everything solo...Panic! has always had great live performances, and he has a great touring band, but the Madison Square Garden show for this album? The guy was literally jumping all over the place, backflips, drum solos, rocking out on the electric guitar, playing piano, walking through the crowd all hugging people, while belting Frank Sinatra-style. He is determined to be the band, that's for sure.

It comes from religious languages this or that or whatever but it means like gibberish or meaningless phrases. You're taking a lot of different things from a lot of different places and you're just trying to confuse the people you're talking to. Not only is no one supposed to know what you're talking about but there isn't actually anything to understand and figure out, it's all interchangeable

I think you've hit the album's nail on the head. It's whole manner is how he's just been going through life not really noticing anything. Partying, playing, and not really doing anything. He talked about how this album was kind of him realizing that he's been living not really LIVING his life and how it's about the end of his bachelorhood before he married the love of his life.

The whole point of the album is growing up; changing throughout your life and looking back on the past. There was a reason a lot of the songs weren’t cohesive with each other, it’s because he purposely made it so that each song is different from the last.
"The whole band isn't here." It all started when Brent left, next was Ryan and Jon. After it was just Spencer and he left. That's not even the touring members. The only official member is Brendon.
If you want stuff that really leaves an impact on you, you should react to A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out by Panic! It’s arguably their best album. You should also react to Drones by Muse.
Your 3 favourite songs are also my favourite on the album! Along with your least favourite being my least favourite. Overall I thought the album lacked that little bit of consistency which prevent it from being a great album and just instead a good album. I think half the tracks are a lot of fun, have an upbeat energy to them and are just overall amazing, while the other half are just kinda...duds and this is coming from someone who loves Panic! Wow I discovered your channel a few days ago and at first I didn't like you but then I found myself watching more of your videos...and here I am now, subscribed. I love your editing, it must take forever, so thanks.
The beginning had me choking in laughter. Good job...you did your research. Impossible Year was written in 2008-9, but he only decided to flesh it out in 2015...so it became less sorrow and more looking back, old-man resignation-esque(basically what my grandpa sounds like talking about the hungry-days..distanced?) The concept of the entire album is a closure to who he had been..not necessarily even bachelor-wise, but musician-wise, even. Like being at these award ceremonies and parties but feeling discontent...different takes on that idea, throughout. This was his first completely solo album, so it'll be cool to see what Pray for the Wicked has to offer.

The whole point of the album is growing up; changing throughout your life and looking back on the past. There was a reason a lot of the songs weren’t cohesive with each other, it’s because he purposely made it so that each song is different from the last.

Your 3 favourite songs are also my favourite on the album! Along with your least favourite being my least favourite. Overall I thought the album lacked that little bit of consistency which prevent it from being a great album and just instead a good album. I think half the tracks are a lot of fun, have an upbeat energy to them and are just overall amazing, while the other half are just kinda...duds and this is coming from someone who loves Panic! Anyway good video man!

Impossible Year was written in 2008-9, but he only decided to flesh it out in 2015...so it became less sorrow and more looking back, old-man resignation-esque(basically what my grandpa sounds like talking about the hungry-days..distanced?)
The concept of the entire album is a closure to who he had been..not necessarily even bachelor-wise, but musician-wise, even. Like being at these award ceremonies and parties but feeling discontent...different takes on that idea, throughout. This was his first completely solo album, so it'll be cool to see what Pray for the Wicked has to offer.
