love bob, bruce, john fogerty, tom petty, neil young, and fleetwood mac. the only group of today's music is larkin poe. saw them open up for seger in columbus. they are fantastic. they are two sisters from atlanta.
Saved my pennies, got a ticket for the 10th row center MSG . When this perfect song started, I sat down, closed my eyes and........................to this day 10 years later what a memory
I was 4 years old when Bob released this song. I heard it for the first time when I was 15 years old. In Lusaka, Zambia at my auntie’s house. She had the album. It was love at first heard. This one and “we got tonight “. I live in London now. I love you Bob Seger and thank you for the music. It’s 2022 .
One of the very best on the planet! Simply music of very high end caliber! Thanks Bob I'll be playing Main Street for the rest of my life! That's how good it is!
l agree with you, indeed Bob Seger is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul, I pray God gives you lot of beautiful days.
My god. Was in Paris. Winter. I was there and Bob did like always his finest art. And main street still a Master piece... Where in Paris... In a big place crowded outside the cold City.. Only warmness in Bob performance. Unforgetable...
I don't know much Seger, but man I can feel how incredible this song is. And that sax. The riff, the saxohphone interpretation, and most certainly the sax player who embodies the character. Excellence.
There is nothing underrated about Bob Seger. He is one of the very best Rock singers & writers of all time! Been a fan since the late 1960's! My sons & now Grandsons have grown up & loved his music too. My late husband loved his music also ..Bob Seger is a LIVING LEGEND 💯💥💫TY for all your music Bob Seger 🙌❤
My all time favorite singer and band! I so wanted to go to his last tour! So lucky I got to see him twice. My sister brought Live Bullet home around 1977, I was 10 and I was hooked. Love Bob Seger! 💞🙏♥️ Timeless Thank you Bob, you are a classic!

most of you guys were to young to remeber or not even born yet.. but there was a tour called the boss tour. it was bob segar ..john mellencamp brian adams and bruce spingstein. it was the best concert i ever been to in my life
I agree! Bob Sefer is one of the greatest singer, person, guy on this planet! I sure miss what he would have done today! I have to say he knew everyone that he catered his music to! Fantastic and as I said one of the greatest!
i came from albany,ny for this show. bob was incredible, as always.this song is on my seger, mt.rushmore with roll me away, the fire inside and hollywood nights.i know i left some masterpieces off the list.this show, and part of the tour, larkin poe opened for him. they were amazing. they are two sisters, originally from north georgia. they sing a bluesy rock, as they call it, american roots music. all the seger shows i have attended, they are the best opening act i have seen. i have seen, larkin poe, multiple times since than. love their music.
Nostalgic drivel. There's a lot of great music out there today.Just because you don't look for it,it doesn't mean it's not there. It's normal for someone to feel that their era of music was the best.News Flash:Your grandparentsw said the same thing, and their parents before them.Try and open your eyes and ears instead.I'm not talking about top 40 radio either.Even in Bob Seger's day there was crap on AM.I know,i was there also.
i have tickets to see two john fogerty shows this year. i am really looking forward to seeing him. he has been on my bucket list for a long time. i came from albany,ny to see the seger show in columbus. i have gone a lot of places to see bob seger. seger and springsteen are my two favorite performers to see live.
Part of my adolescence. I started going to clubs at 16. This so stuck a cord. I’m 63 now and I shed a tear when I listen to this. Sexual incompetence or a young man not really knowing the complexity of it all. Still makes me tearful 😢 love this song all the same
Alto still sounds great and Bob was and is a living legend. He still sounds fantastic, unfortunately looks like I missed my chance to see him live though. My dad was a massive fan and I have been since I was ten or twelve.
One of the only times I feel I've gotten older is when I see one of my musical idols and they have grown older as well...Bob's song Mainstreet was one of my favorites and the night move's album was just amazing...
Oh, how I would love to talk to Mr. Seger some day! I would love to tell him how this song affected me way back then. Without being boring, I believe it would be super healing for me. Much love to y'all from Florida. We're deep into the Covid pandemic, and today suddenly we can't get gas. 5-11-2021. ❤️🎈❤️🥂🧁
I remember seeing his billboard when I lived vary near sunset Blvd back in 70s , I always liked his music, plus he was a lookalike to my best friend at that time.
This Champion does it again so finesly. A true accomplished and magnificently talented professional and humble human being. Wish I could go and see him in concert. Difficult though when living in Gibtaltar (The Rock), Southern Europe. Anyway, God bless him and his family and may he continue with his enormous talent for many, many years to come.
Lovely version of this song! I love it when artists reimagine their old songs. That said...I reeeeeeeeeeeally love when that electric guitar sings in the original of this one. In this performance it's the sax part. It's very well done. And not the same. I always thought Bob Seger and John Mellencamp make a great tour together. Maybe even a collab album. Let's do this. I would buy it!
Hello Lethiapage4767, how're you doing, Your comment caught my attention and that is why I am reaching out to you. Your fan love for me warms my heart, Thank you!❤️
RIP Alto. I stayed in the same hotel as the band when they played Peoria, IL. They all showed up to the hotel bar after the show & were very cool. I bought Alto a Moscow Mule.
I have the pleasure of playing this great song in a classic rock band, with piano and acoustic guitar, all I play is the haunting electric leads and solo. It's like a religious experience
l agree with you, indeed Sam hunt is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul, I pray God gives you lot of beautiful days.
I love, love, love this song. I have since it came out when I was 7. My parents had Night Moves and they played it a lot. Main Street and Sunspot Baby have been favorites forever. I was lucky enough to see him twice. Something like 20 years apart! What amuses me to no end is that I was probably walking around in public at 7 years old singing a song about a voyeur and his favorite stripper. 😳

Bob Seger is one of the most underrated singers ever....
That may very well be true. But when he comes on the radio dial, whether it’s AM or FM, we know it’s Bob Seger..
Songwriters!
Why does somebody always have to say that these legends are “underrated”?
Wow. He’s a minor third below the original key because his voice didn’t hold up with all that manufactured growl.
@@tannertuner Sorry you are too dumb to understand the statement (especially regarding Seger, who's very underrated!)

Great in that lower key. Dig the Saxophone in place of the guitar part. Just a goddamn legend ain’t he. We will love your music for ever. Thanks man
Thanks so much for this, he sounds wonderful on this performance! All the sincere emotion, and musically still right on!

Bob Seger was my first concert at BOSTON GARDEN
Breaks my heart they don't use a lead guitar live. It's the driving force behind the song and an iconic guitar piece. Beautiful song nonetheless.
