Shinjuku JY-17 station is located on platforms 14 and 15 of the Yamanote Line. Trains to Shibuya and Shinagawa leave from platform 14. Trains on platform 15 serve Ikebukuro and Ueno stations. The 34.5-kilometer Yamanote Line, with 30 stations, serves the Tokyo wards of Shibuya, Shinagawa, Ikebukuro, Ueno, and Yurakucho. The Yamanote Line operates from 4:30 a.m. to 1:20 a.m., with a train every two minutes during rush hour.
