    A lot of comments in other forums about the cheap plastic base and sub-par miniature screws causing this device to eventually sag forward from the electrical box. Have you experienced any of this?

    • @GrantButler
      @GrantButler  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not at all. The little screws go into a metal treaded insert. I don't see a way that it could sag.

    As i am aware this is for outdoor. Your thoughts on using this indoor?? Was planing to purcchase one and placing in hallway as a fixture/security. Maybe other suggestions?

    • @GrantButler
      @GrantButler  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will work for that.

      @@GrantButler thankyou for the quick response. one other question i did forget. all the pictures on the internet show this unit mounted vertical. is Horizontal an option?

    • @GrantButler
      @GrantButler  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Downtown floors sorta. You would have to Mount Your bracket sideways, which would probably take some finagling. Then take into account that your camera points slightly down, and so it's going to point to the left or the right, depending on which way you mount it. However, yes, it technically can be mounted sideways

    Hi Grant, Thank's for the video. Can you tell me the distance between the two holes for the screws? Best regards

    • @GrantButler
      @GrantButler  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There's quite a few screws in this. Which ones are you referring to?

    • @leclospre
      @leclospre 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank's for your answer!! I was talking about the gap between the two screws used to fix the mounting braket on the wall.

    Great video! I just installed mine but I am puzzled with the unit not powering up while there is power at the light terminal box. The Eufy app was very buggy when trying to add the S100 unit to the Eufy network. For me the jury is still out... until I figure out what is going on.

    • @GrantButler
      @GrantButler  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Did you make sure you're network is split so that the 5ghz and the 2.4ghz networks are separate?

    • @benhaze1010
      @benhaze1010 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GrantButler I did not assign a 2.4 Ghz with its specific network name because it has negative affects doing so with other wifi devices. However I know the S100 was connected to the network when setting it up with the USB cable. Looks like my issue is with the 120V not getting to the camera.

    my wifi signal keeps dropping when i install onto base

    • @GrantButler
      @GrantButler  ปีที่แล้ว

      You may need to separate your wifi networks into 2 separate networks. They can only connect to 2.4ghz wifi. My router combined the 5ghz and 2.4ghz, so I had to manually separate them

  • @benhaze1010
    @benhaze1010 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    @10:09 this wiring setup wont work; the light housing has very little clearance so you need to bend the wireds at 90 deg right at the terminal block otherwise you will not be able to screw the light on its base with these 2 darn tiny screws. This pin on design has great underachieved potential making the install a little more tricky than you would think.

    • @GrantButler
      @GrantButler  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definitely, I think I mentioned that in the review at the end
