Well, Hollywood, media and basically everything we grew up around set the beauty standard as super white, blue eyes and blond hair. I think what they were trying to explain is a preference is something you prefer however it doesn’t really imply exclusion. For example I prefer chocolate ice cream however that doesn’t mean that I will not eat anything else. Saying that you prefer skinny or slim thick women is not excluding bigger or fat women, it’s saying I usually tend to gravitate towards skinnier women but that’s not all I date.
Personally for me your reasoning is what would make it fatphobic, saying that I don’t date fat women bc blah blah blah.
