Leamington Spa Half Marathon 2023 - Brett vs Andy

He did it again, @runningwithandy4486 influenced me to get a last minute entry to another half marathon. So after entering on the Saturday we travelled over to Leamington Spa on Sunday 25 June 2023 to take on the first challenge in the Brett vs Andy series. At the start line we spun a random number wheel to give us a target time for the half but with a twist. We were running it naked!... No, not that type of naked, just the one where you don't use a watch haha. So we set off and covered our watches hoping to run the correct pace just using feel and effort. We had great fun on this challenge and there will be plenty more to come in the future. Who got closest to their target time? Join us for a super hot sunny day to find out.

Excellent Brett and Andy, looked a great day and a half marathon where it was run for fun which is why we all do it! Really enjoyed how you expose all these races and it just motivates us all out there to give it a go!

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Great video, Brett. Anyone who knows you would have put money on you going too fast 😂 I look at my watch a crazy amount of times when I run. Even on easy runs when it doesn't matter. I'm going to try this challenge myself and see how I get on.

Thank you Helen. It was great fun. I don't know how you do it without a watch. I have become far too reliant on technology. This was a refreshing change though. I really wanted to do Kenilworth Half but it just fell at the wrong time. Fingers crossed for next year.
