La Jolla has a place in surf history for a multitude of reasons. If you want an insane wave with no crowds, take a drive to Pt Loma Lighthouse. If you like what you see youll have to charter a boat to get out there from san diego bay, as its illegal to paddle off the land, national park rules. Oh and dont mention my name as the one who tipped you off😂

"Green Wall" firing - I saw Brad Gerlach in 1998 (El Nino Year) surf the biggest waves I had ever seen at the Shores. Such a fun, but crowded spot.
