I was born in 1944 & lived in Letham Grange till I was 5. We then moved to Elliot St., Airlie Cres. & Brechin Road. My father was Harry Farmer whose name is on Harry Farmer Court as he was a long time town councillor. I was his 3rd daughter & emigrated to Canada in 1963 @ age 19. I worked for a few years in the Library. I went to Inverbrothock School & the High School. This video has brought back many memories of a happy childhood & for that I thank you most sincerely.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this while drinking my morning coffee. My maternal Grandfather (Craig) was born in Arbroath in 1897 and later lived in Dundee before coming to San Francisco just before WWI broke out. I hope to visit Scotland in the fall of 2017. Thank you for sharing this with the rest of us.
Great to see St. Vigeans Road in the video & the old Inverbrothock School. I lived in the street & went to the school & was surprised to see that some of the flats used to be businesses!....
I remember as a bairn with my dad going to the condor with the timex amatures football club 1953? Dad was the 1st secretary of both teams midlands amatures wee played at Elliott Junction now a golf course then it was a football park with a pavilion just behind a small stream it's disappeared? Nobody had cars travelled by bus, train, and tram lol a long time a go
Damn, dude. Arbroath looked pretty nice in the fifty's and 60's. Shame it don't look like that now :( And whats that?! the library is clean? and looking like its used by people?! Never!
