I remember the commentary for The Futurama game, the crew talks about how hard it was to translate the art style to 3D. Considering how hard it was for the professional crew, it makes sense that Simpsons bootlegs look like a nightmare fuel.
To be fair, the official Simpsons figures from 1990 ALSO looked really friggin' weird.
Heck, even the official attempts to make Simpsons 3d look pretty horrific. Hit and Run and Road Rage are great games, but you can tell the tech just wasn't there for the transition to be good, with The Simpsons Game being what I think is the first 3d thing that pretty much nailed the art style.
With the way that flower is shaped and painted, it almost looks like the evil stick... Oh boy, hope there's nothing disturbing underneath the Simpsons...!

I came across rule 34 of The Simpsons, and it didn't even shock me the way other childhood shows would.
That Lisa has the face of Lenny. I look forward to the Season 50 premiere where Homer and Marge have another marriage crisis when Homer discovers Marge cheated on him with Lenny and then had a child with gigantism. A real renaissance for the series.
This box art really does a great job of portraying the effort that goes into the average episode these days.
Including "You can stop!" being a meta plea.

I actually think it's quite clever how they used the Bart 'You Can Stop' image as a censor stamp to cover up exposed body parts in the pictures on the back of the box.
He edited that in for the video.

Ironically, Bart on the skateboard did perfectly recreate the experience of The Simpsons Skateboarding.

I HAD THIS SHIT AS A KID, I remember they bought it to me at a gas station while being on vacation, Bart's head top came off so my dad had to fill it with glue and now it looks like his brain is melting and coming off

"You can stop" is something I say a lot whenever I watch new episodes of The Simpsons.
Homer looks like he just got off the Chili Con Carnival after eating one those ghost peppers. That Simpsons episode never gets old.
I just had the most horrifying realization: I always thought that the only way they'd ever let the show finally, mercifully die is if one of the main cast members died, but now they can just use a fucking AI to voice the character when that happens.
They really will never let the show end.

My first thought with Marge's accessory was that it was supposed to be a plate of nondescript food. Like how in the earlier episodes, their plates would just be filled with a weird slop rather than any identifiable food. But since this was clearly made after the movie, that's probably giving them way too much credit.
Lisa certainly has seen better days hasn't she?
Her, Bart and Maggie did have an existential crisis that one time about not knowing exactly where the border between thier heads and thier hair was, I guess Lisa found out.

I think I've cracked it. 'You can stop!' isn't a mistranslation; it's a message to the creators. The bootlegs looking so awful symbolizes the state of the Simpsons today. It all makes sense!

the album cover on the box for these figurines is actually the book cover for a book written by the Simpsons Creator called the Uncensored Simpsons Family Album from 1991 which has both the Bouvier/Simpsons family trees tracing the respective families back to their earliest relatives.

My favorite episode was the psychological thriller episode where they reveal Milhouse has been threatening all of Bart and Lisa's other friends and one-off friends to stay away from them so he can have them all to himself.

Marge's mysterious platter of... mysteriousness looks almost as appetizing as the gray mush they used to eat in the really early episodes. Maggie's head kind of looks like they took some sort of Garfield character head, just judging from the shape of the eyes.

I think they should have ended Simpsons at season 37. Season 38 really jumped the shark.
My guess for "You can stop!" is that it wasn't just translation, but also a censorship thing. They might've tried to make him more respectful in the chinese dub because they were worried about children emulating him and disrupting the glorious republic.
