I had that system in 1999 when there was only one THX flavor. Same receiver and speakers, Technics CD Changer, Technics DD/DTS processor, etc. I've switched to newer speakers and receivers with the latest digital formats but I have not got the same full, pristine and effortlessly loud sound they had. My current Onkyo/Athenas are doing terrific, but I miss my old Technics team.
I have viewed this video many times, I absolutely love technics. You have a great setup.

I love this audio setup. Always loved Technics... almost had this same system, but spend all my loot on the SA-GX910 and some sweet infiniti kappas to go with it. Beautiful sound.
Not even in the same ballpark your system did not run xlr balance infact I'm not sure if your system even had all banana plugs lol

I will always have a soft spot for Technics
Sound from SA-TX50 through the SB-LX70 is heavenly. Although these speakers are not THX certified, they sound as if they were. Clear highs, quick fat bass and no distortion at highest reference volume. Very pleasant system for music or for movies.

Honestly I always found something missing when listening to Technics equipment more in the mids and highs the bass is wicked mind you
Different speakers might do the job :
Not all speakers fit 100% with any stereo system !
I work on vintage Technics equipment, the ancient op-amps they used(cheap!) can all be upgraded to NJM2068, which will restore those mids and highs, as well as replacing ALL de-coupling caps with 6.8uf poly capacitors. Works every single time...
@@christophero1969 I doubt very seriously that those parts were used past the early 80's. This system is from the 90's and for sure wouldn't have those parts in them.

Just a moment dude there are still available out in the market cd players / amplifiers / tuners in about a logical price rage of 290-500 US$ / Euros . , and amazing speakers for about up to 800 $
They are all out there go grab some all it needs is MONEY .

You will need a phono pre amplifier and then you can connect it to one of the amplifiers inputs. The SL-1200 cannot be connected directly.

How did you connect SA-TX50 and Technics SL-BD20 ? in what input you put it ? please somebody help me!
Use a phono preamp, the one below works perfectly. you can then connect your CD player to the aux and the BD-20 to the phono input on the device. Connect the phono preamp's output to your cd input on the amp.

Hola, alguien me puede informar que tal son los parlantes sb-lx70 ya que he encontrado opiniones muy negativas aunque en este video suenan muy bien, si son hifi? gracias
A mi gusto suenan espectaculares, sobre todo los bajos, que sobrepasan a varios setup hifi que he escuchado! los medios y altos tienen muy buena definición también. Esos parlantazos hacen sonar cualquier cosa de maravilla. Y que decir de las peliculas... mejor que el cine jajajajaja
Lorient Suarez pues son muy buenos solo que pues toma en cuenta que no son para reventar cristales, son equipos finos que necesitan de un cuidado muy especial, lo que si te puedo decir con seguridad que este tipo de equipos y sistemas se hicieron para durar..

+istván Katona From the manual: "For connecting a graphic equalizer(notincluded).This lets you correct the sound quality of your system,such as adjust-ing frequency characteristics to the listening room. With a graphic equalizer, you have to use the "DECODEROUTPUT" and "POWERAMPINPUT" terminals of a specific channel whose sound quality you want to correct. Connect the "DECODEROUTPUT' terminal to the input terminal on the graphic equalizer, and the output terminal on the graqhic equalizer to the "POWERAMPINPUT" terminal."

Ahora si se puede de decir que es gama alta que hemoso amplificador technics es modelo del 2015 ó 2016 exelente ahora si le pondrias parlantes Bosé o b&w la fidelidad sería superior ,pero está excelente hermoso
hermano eso no es gama alta yo tuve uno de esos y lo vendi porque calentaba mas que la estufa, ese es un teatro en casa , y aunque no era muy costoso el sonido daba mucho que desear , gama alta el sea1000 en adelante

eso es otra cosa yo hice alusión a este teatro especificamente, por supuesto que amplificadores pioneer , sansui ,technics combinados con parlantes bose, jbl,infinity responden muy bien

The problem isn't only that you can't buy value good stereo, you simply can't buy high quality recordings. 90% of studio production is shitty at best...
