    Simracing is difficult. Learning how to drive fast takes time, dedication and persistence. Assetto Corsa Competizione is one of the best simulations with highly sensitive aerodynamics that want to be respected. Telemetry, such as motec helps with analyzing car behavior and finding major issues in the car setup or driving style. Special sim racing hardware also helps with becoming better, but certainly is not the solution to your problems. Load cell pedals offer better feel. Stronger but most importantly more detailed force feedback of e.g. direct drive wheels offer more immersive sensations. Though I know and I've seen throughout the years, people with entry level hardware perform on top level.

    Hey, relitively new to sim racing totally love it. But am just not getting the lap times i need and its starting to really get me down in the dumps. I mainly play ACC, and dabble in iracing, thinking of grabbing the popometer but my best car is the Bentley but noticed not many data packs on it. Will that be expanding? And would it still be of help to me with out data packs usong the bentley? Thanks for your vids very informative. Im going to get rid of that highlight race line and start to use track markers as time to start to graduate 🙂

    • @SimracingPopometer
      @SimracingPopometer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All cars will be expanding, yeah. You only pay for individual packs, so even if its not there yet, you can already use the tool. Until you want setups are compare data its free.
      If you really focus on the Bentley it also does not matter on which track you compare data, so you could live with what's available for now. The driving errors are most likely the same patterns on any track.

    Off topic but Is it possible to tune braking performance using the suspension? For example will I get a more effective braking using softer front suspensions since more weight will be transferred to it because they compress more?

    Nils-great guide-no one provides this level of advice. Thanks. Unfortunately, I drive the Ferrari which is probably not the best car on this track (funny bc I used to race an M5 Challenge cup car and Porsches IRL). I am using a modified Barcelona setup which has me doing a best in the 1.48s and pretty consistent mid 1.49s after a couple of days of practice. Question should I lower my diff-currently set at 300NMs or leave it alone. Also my Barcelona setup had a 14 wing which I have lowered for this track to 12-can I go lower? Thanks again.

    • @SimracingPopometer
      @SimracingPopometer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      such specific advice is very difficult without having driven and tested it. given the gap you have: unless the car is entirely undrivable, most time here is to be found in the driving, a setup can't make a car 2s slower/faster.
      generally this is a high downforce track, lowering the wing sounds counterintuitive

    The data tool looks awesome , but is there a setup with it , or only the things you are showing ?
    Because I think things can be different if I use something different than the one you are using no ?
    Let’s say the car is softer , she should take more curbs ect no ?

    • @SimracingPopometer
      @SimracingPopometer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, there's at least one setup with it for the exact reason you said. data is only comparable if setup is the same :)
      creators are free to add more setups to it, e.g. adjusted for the 25m lfm distance

  • @kevinhansen73
    @kevinhansen73 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quick question on your steering angle & input. I noticed on most corners, your steering wheel angle is MUCH steeper than mine is. Would be a matter of you're just scrubbing you way through the corner? Or is it a steering-ratio setting in the car setup, or a general setting in ACC or wheelbase config that might account for this? Apologies, new to the sport!

    • @SimracingPopometer
      @SimracingPopometer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if you drive very low steer ratio in the setup that can be the cause of the difference... I usually have 15

    • @SimracingPopometer
      @SimracingPopometer  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ill have to bring the horrible news to you that unfortunately its unlikely the pedals, but a clumsy foot :)
      dial it back, focus on one thing at a time. several seconds off you have to adjust so much that you cant possibly change 4 things per corner.
