This just proves to me that kids and adults still have an appreciation for animatronics. It’s just a matter of showcasing them properly. CEC stopped doing that a long time ago, and I think that’s part of the reason they were phased out. I remember hearing that back in the PTT days, they would actually turn down the lights when a show began. So people had to pay attention to them. If CEC had a better way to showcase the robots, maybe they can bring them back in the future. But bigger and better.
there is different various stage types, that you should check out ! The most important familiar is the “grand clock tower show” 1 tree on 1 side and another tree on another side, And a boy in a rock barrel type smth , and a moose on the house front , and a owl and a girl .
Awe man, this brought back a memory from when I was a little kid. I went to a Great Wolf Lodge once with Girl Scouts as a Brownie. We were about to leave and I remember us walking in on an animatronic show ending and being so confused. Had no clue they had one until that awkward encounter of only getting to see all the character’s going down. Literally every time we went through that area we’d always missed it running. I just thought the stage was static decor and was so baffled how we missed it every single time. I was probably super annoying cause I wouldn’t stop asking the adults about it after that. I thought they’d automatically know all the answers about who the character’s were, what were their names, what it was about, etc. lol I think I found out later they had been specifically trying to move us through the area only when the show was off. Since they were worried it would scare us.
I've always wanted to go to one of these!! Absolutely amazing seeing an arcade, water park, bowling alley AND animatronic show all in one. This place would have blown my mind as a kid
Nice Video Chris! its pretty sad that they are removing these shows, they were always really entertaining. i remember going to the poconos mountains Great Wolf Lodge. I really miss those guys. really cool that you got to see them tho!
Yeah, I brought that up after the Burbank show sadley. It looks like every one of these types of shows will have the exact same problem where the mouths barely open.
Some other locations that have older shows are Traverse City Michigan, Wisconsin Dells, and Concord North Carolina (the one I grew up going to) there aren’t many animatronic shows left but there are still these three locations that have them
GWL was once a place I would have loved to work at. But ever since their characters were changed to their generic, movie versions, I've lost interest. The GWL characters from the mid to late 2010's were so cute and I wanted to hug them all! At least you got to see Miss Violet. Nothing compared to her original look.
Hey Chris, I know you obviously travel a lot so I have a question. My family and I want to go on a vacation but we don't really know where we should go. We've done the basic stuff like Disney World, Universal, and even a few others. But outside of those we're not really sure where we should go. Any suggestions? 🤔
@MrMoonStarr Well, if your family enjoys theme parks, the best one in america is cedar point in sandusky, ohio, they have the best and most fantastic roller coasters on the planet. But if you're just looking for cool cities to see, then I suggest visiting New York or Chicago or Charleston, South Carolina or Billy Bob's Wonderland! :)
I don't like Great wolf lodges cause its really a cash cow but 1 thing i do like was there Forest Friends show it really game a lot of nostalgia from the chuck e cheese i grew up with in CO
Sucks seeing how stages from CEC to wolf started of large.. to slowly being made smaller and smaller. Now in terms of wolf.. being ripped out to be replaced with a small stage with four tv screens. 😑
From $37K to $65K that's the minimum range of profit return every month I think it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family. ❤️

Pretty cool show! I feel like GWL got the screen-to-Animatronic show just right with this one. It’s unfortunate that they’re removing the stages, even the ones that only have the bust that moves its head back and forth with a projected face and screen under him. I’m hoping that GWL at least keeps Wisconsin Dells as a legacy store (as I’m dubbing it) where it keeps the original animatronics for as long as they can stay. Maybe Sandusky too, but those are the only two I could see staying unfortunately. I saw the new show in a video, that show being Legend of Luna and it sucked. It’s just screens, projections, and smoke. It’s pretty cool for kids and I will admit, the technology is pretty amazing, but GWL cannot forget their past. The story also sucked. “Be yourself” tale, yada yada.
5:24 OMG, I see Violet! 😄💜

I'd love too, do you know what location still has it?
@@SetsStreetsEats Concord, NC Still has their show! And it’s in great condition from what i heard!

Crazy cool to see you visit my local! 👍
The show looks amazing. Personally, I’d bring up the mouth pressure, but besides that it looks beautiful.

Personally, I say it’s really upsetting
Yeah it was hard to tell who was speaking. I think they were a little off sync too. I kinda wish there was an HQ rip of the audio used in this show
@@epicboyo4883 agreed
I passed near Great Wolf Lodge but I only been there a few times and oh man it is a nice resort it rocks!
man i havent been to a great wolf lodge in forever i didn’t even know they had animatronics. very neat
So cool! My younger cousins absolutely love to go there! I’ve never been but it looks pretty fun! 😎👍🏻
That was pretty cool, I’ve never went to a Great Wolf Lodge, However the animatronics will *never* compare to the rockafire explosion.
Agreed!
Great show, they have here!
I loved this video also i love violet the wolf 💜🐺

cool! Interesting seeing a different GWL layout after going to the same one all my life
I would DEFINITELY visit gwl in Niagara, their show is like no other!
You should go to the one Charlotte NC the animatronics there are amazing❤❤❤
Cool
Really nice video, i didn't know this place.
If you can you should try to go back to the Huntington Beach Chuck E Cheese
Awesome! Also Chris, I emailed you the petition link! Thank you😊

they got rid of the animatronics in williamsburg location when u walk in sadly
Cool 🎉
We're soon getting a GWL in the UK! Hoping it lives up to expectations
It's really sad knowing how animatronics in general are getting phased out and not just from cec
I was reading that they’re building a great Wolf lodge here in Florida
you should go to great wolf lodge in Nigeria Falls!

Hooray I love the great wolf lodge but man those new mascots are so scary
Their mid-to-late 2010's mascots were so cute and had so much personality. Now? They look too generic and simplified.
@@bluegold1026 I blame Gen alpha
@@DaveysWonderfulWorldit’s not necessarily gen alpha, it’s just a modern strategy every company has been doing for the past 8 years
