Everytime I see a Tenor and Bari play Sleigh Ride it's always a completely different arrangement. Me and our Bari play way more and I always play the Alto part in the Jazz-y section. I want a simple part like this :(
It's fun watching these videos of sleigh ride. It's amazing to see that each set of folks playing really appear to "feel" the music and it's not a chore to do. You can see these guys really get into it. Plus, dang - I though high school players were just ehhh - but all of the series I heard so far is like DANG these boys are SO GOOD, they look like pros and are really really good! Very uplifting to watch for sure - big thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍
because it reflects noise towards the audience instead of letting it scatter everywhere, it also makes the band look like it fills up more space than they actually do.
These little up close & personal 'snippets' are fantastic. Finally, a way to showcase individual players & their instruments. It's just so enjoyable.

Yeah, in the original by Leroy Anderson the bari gets some really good bits most of it is just downbeats but its so good.

Always better to challenge yourself rather than taking the simple parts but play at your own pace and don’t push yourself too hard

i used to play the bari sax part mix with french horn part...yes i play french horn
I play bari and I never have anything fun just whole notes and half notes occasionally quarter notes and if I’m lucky like one set of eighth notes
