  • Our guest this week is none other than the legend Brian Windhorst (ESPN). We get into so much about The Los Angeles Lakers free agency, his career covering LeBron James and much more... But in this clip, Brian talks to us about free agency, the evolution of the business of the NBA and how we got here. It's fascinating.

Shoutout Windy. And shoutout you all. We are somehow inching towards a million TH-cam subscribers (905K right now). That's pretty mindblowing for us. So big thank you all for being so supportive of the channel. We have something special planned for when we cross a million subs so be sure to subscribe if you haven't yet. Windy full ep drops tomorrow. Cheers.

This is the most eloquent and informative I have ever seen Brian Windhorst, and the reality is that's completely an indictment of ESPN's segments and choice of narratives to cover as opposed to the absurd depth of his NBA knowledge.

I don't think ESPN is to blame for that. I remember taking a journalism class and you would be docked a grade if the professor decided the reading comprehension was too high. They're trying to explain/entertain in a very basic manner for a bigger audience. I just appreciate JJ can do a podcast like this for the people who are interested.

From the buyout market to free agency, trade exceptions, CBA negotiations it’s all exciting. Personally I’d love to see another Chris Paul episode detailing his role within the union, the lockout, more on bubble negotiations, and current players he’s sees likely to join the union.

Just the opposite, love football, but the devastating injuries makes it less fun. I like basketball games in general, but the financial side is coma inducing, especially knowing the players would play for pennies on the dollar rather than stocking shelves. It's annoying that everyone associated with the NBA are millionaires when all my educated, hard working friends are punching clocks more or less.

Every quarter you guys should have Windy back on. Such great takes! Also, with Sac not doing anything, they are saving for the trade deadline if they need to add any pieces
