I was standing in my kitchen and dawned on me recently, Our Bishop Winans, will die one day and our younger generation will have to take their place. It hit me hard. I cried like a baby. Ya'll know this new generation isn't nothing like the old. He was my pastor for a couple of years and I still attend from time to time and the singing healed, delivered and blessed everyone that came. No matter how much they sing and bless people, pray that their names are written in the Book of life.
Let me say this. BeBe has such an incredible and unique voice. His voice on certain records over the course of years has brought us through many difficult seasons and trials, so we thank him so much for the gift. I literally could listen to BeBe sing all day, his voice just blesses me. Bishop Marvin Winans is absolutely brilliant. He's purposeful in his attack, every run is clean and his placement of those runs will make you run around the building. And most of the times he's killin' ya with a smile on his face. He's mastered the art of singing and has a memory that's mind-boggling to most. He can sing not just the 1st verse and chorus of the average hymn but he knows the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th verse by memory. This man is nothing short of brilliant, truly a gift from God to the Body of Christ. Oh, and I have to commend the organist here, job well done!!! I could write another couple of paragraphs regarding the organist and his choice of chords and placement, and for giving BeBe and Marvin room to do what they do.
What a beautiful combination. Their voices are different tones, but they complement each other in this duet. Love the Winans! Ron's voice was soothing. I listen to his music when I want to relax in God and separate from all the chaos in this world. May his beautiful soul continue to rest in the Lord. ❤❤❤

I am so thankful that my focus is on honoring the memory of a woman who greatly influenced not only my daughter . Many years ago Dt. Angelou was in Colorado Springs and I lived in Denver . I put my daughter and a classmate in a car and when we got there we were told there were no seats left. I never accept a no and found there were many seat at this major university. a angel invited us to a reception where I had the opportunity to hug Dr. Maya and express our thanks for her written word. I cried when she died and got a spiritual message before it was announced on television. The world is a richer place because of the bounty of writers we have available at our local libraries.
