@@ratlinggull2223 sure, but you still need to give up more attack focused skills in order to have it equipped. I was bored of the game mechanics but after I saw the complexity of every class, the diversity and the freedom to play very different everytime and the immense mechanics you're showing in your videos. Man I'm going to finish this game. Not only finish but will try every vocation until I master all of them!
After watching many of your videos, I learned that equipping pawns with fewer skills might improve their performance, in most cases. Fracture Dart is so good on pawns, because they’re consistent on getting the triple explosions. So I gave her only that. But I admit I yelled at my strider pawn to stop shooting the goddamn ceiling in BBI, and unequipped the bow so she could actually do something, since she wouldn’t stop spamming Fracture Dart. At this point, I mostly run Mighty Bend and Shriek Dart on her. Not nearly as damaging as Fracture Dart, but at least she can’t fuck it up. They did such genius work on the pawn AI, you’d think they’d have programmed them to stop shooting the ceiling ineffectually after a couple times, and try new attacks.
8:05 and that right there is a major argument for implicate. The thing is that implicate has trouble against flying enemies unless they descend. It basically has a flame thrower like hit cone, and hits anything with a hitbox in that cone. Fliers usually stay above that until they attack. dragon types... have low hanging tails to give fighters something to do, so they are technically have a hitbox at the right height for the cone. It is stupid. but everyone loves it because it is awe inspiring.
My absolute favorite class. I did a full strength build being an assasin up to level 200 and switched to strider. The sheer damage you can do with cloudburst volley and helm splitter is game breaking. My only weakness is ghost type enemies and a derpy sorcerer pawn
@@niklasb4454 i made my way to the greatwall encampment and leveled up to 90 killing skeletons that a lich summons over and over as long as you don't kill the lich. Then i went to the bbi and got to the gutter of misery. I would strongly recommend at least 10 levels being a sorcerer so you can do at least some damage to wraiths and living armor.
@@hisholiness4537 i tried the sapfire daggers and heavens key on them and still did negligible damage. I ended up becoming a sorcerer and killed a bunch of living armor with maelstrom. She picked up on it and is doing a little better now. She still gets thrown around alot trying to cast
This has to be one of the best RPGs of all time... and the combat? The combat is the best I have ever experienced! It is simply mind-blowing! The Strider probably illustrates this best of all vocations (but it takes a master like you Nihil0.0 to show us just what a fantastic vocation this is)! All of this makes DDDA possibly the most underrated game ever! Yes, the graphics are a bit outdated but Capcom has truly created a masterpiece here. Such a shame it was released around the same time Skyrim was released - which accounts for it going under the radar. Here's hoping Capcom realizes what a fandom they have in this incredible game - and makes a sequel in the near future. With the way Bethesda messed up Fallout 76 - I am not holding my breath for TES VI.
@@Nihil0.0 Thanks to you my friend - and your inspiring and informative videos - I am about to start a new DDDA game RIGHT NOW and pick the Strider vocation. If my wife complains - I will refer her to you lol!
Wow. This hands down is one of the best build videos I've ever seen. It's coherent, concise, and damn good entertain to watch. It show a lot of care and research you put into this. Very impressive dude
@@Nihil0.0 hey i've been trying to get the right setup for my strider but finding it difficult to select skills given the limited slots. How did you go about choosing what skills to use? and do you switch them often? tho i feel like instant reset is a "must" especially after seeing how you use it.
I always roll Strider with Kisses and Reset for climbing, Splitter for crowd control, 5fold flurry, Fracture dart and either Mighty bend or downpour volley.
@@Nihil0.0 do you mind if I friend req you on steam? You are more than helpful and the fact you still make contents means you very much still into the DD:DA
Hey Issac, thanks man. I do intend to do all vocations. However the Mage, Sorcerer and Mystic Knight may be delayed or late, as I am still not a pro with those vocations.
Nihil0.0 I know how you feel towards MK but I'm really curious to see warrior and even more so fighter schematics videos. I feel like I'm a tank type of arisen but I feel like warcry / shield summons does nothing to certain monsters. Like they work (or at least I think they do) for actual beasts but not at all with human types. Tanking with my MK I just rush in while buffed and try to keep the damage high.
Warcry and Shield summons are definitely weird. I think your party has a lot to do with it's success. If there is another red vocation pawn, then it's probably ignored. I would say that flying creatures are probably the most likely to follow your call, at least that is what I have noticed. I am not going to go over those skills though. For one, I am not doing these with pawns, and for 2, it's not really something that I have much knowledge on, and the general consensus is "they suck" I mean they are probably good for an agro focused pawn, but that's for another video. Another reason you may find it not work is, if you enter a room and start to taunt with Warcry or shield summons, without attacking anyone, well, whoever attacks first, becomes the agro. That's why Sorcerer's are usually left alone, they are charging their spells while some melee pawn is attacking and occupying. Until the Sorcerer does massive damage on Eliminator, then Eliminator says "screw this guy, that piece of shit just took half of my health"
hmm that makes sense kinda like which class can generate the most threat in MMOs. My time playing MK has pulled me away from warcry/shield summons since I just rush in anyway. Aggro works really weird in this game and i'm trying to understand the mechanics vs just rushing in or pulling aggro because one vocation hits harder than the other.
Just found your channel and it seems I struck gold. Awesome in depth videos. I just started replaying DD: Dark Arisen again and these guides are super useful.
Extremely obsessed with this game, been playing it since 2015 haha. My Xbox unfortunately for some odd reason deleted all my data including new game plus+4 when my Xbox 1 for some reason updated. I just bought a series X and installed my game but had to start over again, don’t care though because the game I s so darn fun. I bought the Series X specifically for Dragons Dogma 2 when it comes out In 2022. My vocation of favourite is Assassin. I also use other augments from other vocations to power up my assassin also.
It’s crazy how different and unique every class is. I’m playing the game for the first time and tried out warrior, fighter, mystic and strider. My favorite class so far is the strider class and I really like Mystic as well. I’m bummed out with the warrior class since I play greatsword strength builds in dark souls ☹️
Strider is my favorite as well, though really I enjoy all of them for the most part. And with how easy it is to switch and play around with each one it's fun trying them all out.
Damn, I didn't know you could ensnare dragons! Really well done video, man. The details like how to properly activate Splinter Dart are a nice touch. Only thing missing was a little explanation on how to use Splitter to traverse without taking fall damage, but other than that, you covered pretty much all there is to the vocation. Will you do one of these for each of them, or just the ones you enjoy the most?
With this skill, I could farming DF at duskmoon tower, however. I really don't get it how to get 3 explosions indeed. Somehow I managed to detonated it mid-air 3 times. But mostly, when hit the grounded CD, it hit twice. 🤔I dunno. 😥
Hey bud, I appreciate the affort and time you put in your vids and in the name of all DDDA players I thank you that you share your knowledge to all of us! I've been actually playing DDDR since the 6th grade. Six years later I'm still playing it because its one of the best and most underrated games I have ever played. 2 years after I first played DDDA I found your channel and started to play the game more seriously than before. Quick I myself started to understand and learn the enemys, vocations aso. Though I have one question about my damage output of my framea blades: My current strenght of my framea blades (gold forged) is 1896. I'm a lvl 194 strider. I saw from some of your vids that my strenght can be increased up to 3000. I know that there are some augment that boost my strenght like clout but dont know from which vocations I can get them. Can you help me would appreciate it a lot man :D Wish you a good night or day depends when you are listening this comment haha. Ps: I'm from germany so please excuse my writing if theres a point in a sentence that dont make sense.
Nice bro, im also playing this game since a friend recommened it to me. Im also playing strider. Love this game but im afraid that DD2 is going to be a flop. Greetings from Germany and a special thanks to Nihil - the LEGEND!
@@MrGarciaboy I don't actually think that DD2 is going to be a flop. I hope that the developer will make a good game and then DD2 hopefully gets the attention it deserves! See you and of course nihil 0.0 in DD2 :D Have a wonderfull day
Clout is from the warrior vocation lvl 9. It gives strength+20%. Other skills he's suggested in another video for strider builds are vehemence from fighter lvl 8 and gives strength+10%, sinew from fighter lvl 5 to carry more weight, autonomy from assassin lvl 9 which gives strength, magic attack, and damage resist+20% while solo only. I can't find the video but I wrote down that he also suggested attunement from mage lvl 9 and acuity from sorcerer lvl 9 which both buff MA. This was for enchanted dagger strength increase of I'm right. Hope this helps👍.
If leveled for strength then arguably yes. However, the Assassin has Masterful Kill and Lyncean Sight. Two skills that can trivialize most encounters in the game.
Nihil.0 I’m guessing would agree. I don’t recall him using OP gear, ever, except to demonstrate how OP gear can be. He has a particular damage value he likes to stay under, so the game remains challenging. When even the big bads die in a matter of seconds, the game might get boring.
Super helpful man. I cant wait to try Fracture Dart again. But, now I know what you meant when you say "can't put down my daggers" because I can't put down my Magic Shield and Mace.
HOLY SHIT HOW DID I MISS THAT PART??? I watched this QUITE a while ago and I never realized or noticed you can MANUALLY control the detonation of fracture dart. This is a game changer fur sure.
Game Changer For Sure. Now you just gotta practice your location and release timing. You can land the 3 Explosions pretty easily with some practice. Easy practice is right there with Olra
Absolutely man. No lie, this game just became like 50% MORE fun now that I know this. How did you even discover this? Like the skill description says NOTHING about manually detonating it! I guess the game has been out for just a little while... lol
Eventually you notice your Strider pawn doing great damage with Fracture Dart and getting 3 explosions. Then you wonder what am I missing. The discription is very vague. So have you loaded and given it a try?
Good information! Not sure what order you have in mind, but I hope Magic Archer is near the top. Also, when you get to Sorc, the Maelstrom spells can be used to pull Metal Golem amulets over to where you want them. Doesn't change the height though, so you need to draw them over to something that you can climb or stand on to reach them, then use the heavy attack to damage them.
Yeah, the Maelstrom thing would be a good idea to put in there. I am not looking forward to doing Mage or Sorcerer though. Dreading it actually. I am going in order, so the 3 basics, the 3 advanced and then the 3 Hybrids.
LOL, Mystic Knight is the one I dread. Standing around 'whacking yer "Magic Cannon" all day' just sounds dirty. :) For magic users, the Frigor spell (and its upgrades) can be used to get the disk on the bottom of a golem's foot. The cold doesn't harm them but the physical damage will. Takes a while, though.
Great video Nihil. I love Striders and this video should be very helpful to people that would like to try one or to people that just don't understand them. :)
Thanks Xizoo. I do hope it helps some players. Especially the Fracture Dart bit. I'm sure you can remember how frustrating that skill was when it would only explode twice.
Heck yeah Derek, Strider is a Beast. For Strider pawn, My Nilly does pretty good with her setup. I do not give her Adhesion augment, because that encourages her to climb everything, especially when she shouldn't. But I still give her kisses on Daggers, so she can climb when it matters. She uses Instant Reset for combo attacks, but she never uses for fast recovery. And Brain Splitter with Eminence augment. Fracture Dart is the only bow skill she has. Clout, Vehemence, Eminence are the important ones. Utilitarian primary, Mitigator Secondary, and Pioneer for Tertiary. Or sometimes I will give her Utilitarian, Challenger, Pioneer. Pioneer is pretty cool, it gives them freedom to act alone. Adhesion gives them bad habits, Ferocity gives them bad habits, any of the Stamina augments are useless on pawns. Stability is a good one for any Yellow vocation. Tenacity is always on any of my pawns, it has a pretty high chance of activating, I would say higher than 50%.
Thank you for the detailed and insightful response. I had my pawn set on scather utilitarian and she wasn't as active as I thought she should be. Her bestiary knowledge is mostly 2-stars but I still felt she should attack more. I'm going to use the elixirs to change her inclinations based on what you wrote and load out her augments differently too. Great videos. I'm definitely enjoying your channel.
Wow, Strider and Assassin really do share a lot of skills. Why is Assassin so much more popular? Is it all about Wind/Gale harness? Or the counter kills? Seems like those are what everyone talks about.
I'm watching this in 2019 and I just started playing DDDA and I am in love with this game. Two questions I have... What equipment are you using for the damage that you're putting out? Two, is it better to do strider from the start? Also third one, what's the best way to dish out massive damage to bosses with peris? I don't like using them because they seem to make the game waaaaayy too easy.
My weapons are usually the lower tier weapons Gold Forged. This was Criteria Daggers and the Shortbow. Strider from the start is my optimal choice, but not wrong nor right. I don't use periapts, but essentially you just use them. You can stack 4 of them for the maximum boost. And yes, way too easy with periapts
@@Nihil0.0 agreed, thanks for the help. I'm ready to start my strider to ranger playthrough. Although one gripe I have is I don't know the best way to level, do you know a good way to level up at all?
That. Is. Awesome, Man ! I don't have so much time to play and test all that by myself, so these videos offer great insight of what playstyle does a certain vocation permit, and maybe help my choice since i won't play all specialisations. I would looooove if you would do it for each vocation. You're Awesome !
hey nihil, congratulations on the content, I love your videos :) I have a doubt, does the soaring stone leap gain the benefit of the augmented Eminence? sorry for spelling mistakes, i am not fluent :v
Makeing a Strider Pawn. I will be greatful if you could help a bit with the lvling up. But what I want to say is... Man you make some god damn good videos
Thanks Core. A Good Strider could be leveled simply as a Strider, from LV1 to LV200. Another good stat build for Strider is LV10 to LV200 Ranger. Or a 50/50 mix of Ranger and Warrior. The augments that Strider would do best with are Clout (Warrior) Vehemence (Fighter) Stability (Ranger) Eminence (Strider) and just equip Physical damage weapons on the pawn, because Magic gets no boost from Climbing or Jumping. This may be helpful- th-cam.com/video/IOuvq-VlhIY/w-d-xo.html
What did you decide to do? I’m level 70 now maxed out all vocations and strider is where I landed based on the bow skills and the spinning dagger dive…
@@kadeloblack4774 I did Short for height and S for weight. I mainly used Kisses, Splitter, Reset, and Cutting Wind. I think my bow skills were Volley, Fivefold Flurry, Fracture Dart and Mighty Bend. I would just continue leveling as Strider as long as you are enjoying the game.

@@420Meatwad see I used him to be small because I thought it would help In that fort mission with the goblins and those catapults! So I’m stuck in mini mi form?
Another truly incredible video. Do you think it might be a good idea to give enchanted daggers to your strider pawn? .....If so: how would you suggest leveling said pawn. I’m hoping to create a strider pawn to compliment my magic archer.
Thanks Dave. For me, I like to keep my Strider pawns with pure physical weapons. The split damage usually results in less damage. Leveling a Strider pawn? Just Strider or Ranger is my preference. I know the desire of a Magic Archer pawn, but truly, the enchanted Daggers lack with most attacks, and then the Dragon's ire bow also does. Enemy defense threshold and Enchanted split damage usually miss out on this. There are 2 vocations that can utilize the Enchanted weapons very well, and that is Magic Archer and Mystic Knight. The rest can exploit enemy weaknesses, but on only a few enemies, equating 5% of possible enemies.
Ok so I know I commented on the warrior video saying I'd follow that build but man you just keep making me restart 😂 Is this class/build better solo or with pawms? If with pawms what classes would work best with it? Kinda want to play solo to see how it goes but I'd like your opinion first. Highest level I've reached is 32 I believe so I'm still pretty new to the game. Also side note I really appreciate the time and effort you put into this , I've been lost on your channel for 3 days straight now because you're an amazing player.
Strider makes a great solo class. If any class were to struggle solo, perhaps Mage. They’re the most support class type. There is a lot of information about height/weight out there. Nihil.0 has a lot of videos, and you can see his main is not too tall, somewhat slender, long limbs.
So glad I found this after starting Dark Arisen recently. Is evading a skill I’ll eventually level up to be able to do or is it available from the beginning? I’m having a rough time without it
Once you reach Strider rank 5, the dodge roll core skill can be purchased. It's the same way you purchase double jump. Your current rank level is shown in status during pause. Each vocation has 9 levels of a Rank, and each vocation has access to it's own core skills and weapon skills.
Most of the core skills, like double jump, dodge roll, and the 2 dagger core skills. For weapon skills, the dagger skills; Kisses, Wind, Toss and Trigger, Dazzle, and Reset. The rest of the Magic Archer skills will be new. And I also have a Schematics vid for Magic Archer th-cam.com/video/hkzEvedGcJs/w-d-xo.html
The stupid high DPS, Area damage AND complete negation of fall damage, as well as multi hit, applying negative effects well, makes Splitter probably the best skill in the entire game. Put that in a vocation that can roll for Iframes and high speed mobility at no stamina cost, cancel animations at will, has the best mobility and damage climbing without needing any item or augment to boost that, and has fracture dart as another exclusive skill, and you make all other vocations look like they belong in a different game. Lul
"Until I took an arrow to the Knee", now a Mandela Effect. The quote can not be found in the games code or anywhere. Doesn't exist, and never has. Even though many recall it to be said by random guards, especially in Whiterun, especially in early levels.
Each Vocation is allowed to have 3 primary skills (primary weapon) and 3 Secondary skills (secondary weapon). So a Strider can have 3 Dagger skills and 3 Bow skills at a time. You need to select which 3 for each that you want to equip. Give the game a try. if you like combat mechanics it's great. If you are looking for a story or lore, it is lacking. but combat is actually perfect. I feel like Dragon's Dogma is one of the closest to "perfect games" out there, in the aspect that it grants you absolute freedom to play how you want, without any forced, or linear, or tedious crap that many games have
@@Nihil0.0 I agree that combat feels "perfect" in DD. I've played countless of RPGs (some dating back to PS2), and it's the only game that makes it so exhilaratingly fun to me (especially with the Strider). Thank you very much for the videos, they teach me so much, and please be well.
So what skills do you recommend to pick being that it only has 3 slots per weapon? Or in DD, there's no such thing as "best skills" and the skills you pick will really depend on the situation/playstyle? I start playing this week and I'm a little overwhelmed by the different things this game has, specially what skills to pick
Correct. The skillsetup would provide you with a specific style. Me personally, I go with Kisses for Climbing, Reset for everything, but particularly Climbing, and Splitter for crowd Control. Bow Fracture Dart for Damage, 5fold for crowd control and either Mighty bend for stagger or Downpour for crowd control and behind walls. Don't worry about the skills to choose. When you start at LV1 you will only have access to 1 Dagger skill and 1 Bow skill. As you Rank up your vocation you will start to gain a currency to unlock other skills. At that point you will need to spend wisely with your DCP currency, but don't worry too much. You can switch to other vocations (I recommend after you Rank a vocation to Rank9, you should at least switch and try another) If you have any questions Renato, just ask in any of my videos. I have a Schematics video for each 9 vocations, and plenty of information videos.
So you recommend not using the augment that boosts strength when climbing on enemies? It doesn’t stack with Striders innate boost? Also, does the stepping skill count as a jump to use the augment that increases damage when jumping (sorry forgot augment names)?
Strider's opportunism was patched a year ago, so now it does apply to Strider. th-cam.com/video/RZipCAcA5jY/w-d-xo.html And stepping stone does activate Eminence for jumping damage.
You know dragons dogma is good because it has chuck Norris signature approved round house kicks. Also soaring stone is great for gore Cyclops and elder ogres because their head is weak to attack. Thunder enchantments are best for elder ogres and ice is best for gore Cyclops.
So for a Strider pawn will fracture dart have better results than fivefold? Do they still fight airborne enemies well? Now that I think about it, if fracture dart does fire damage does that mean it hits stuff that doesn't care much about physical damage like ghosts and living armor?
The fire damage is there, but only will effect Living Armor or Ghosts if the Bow has an enchantment on it. Then there will be magic damage applied. And yes pawns do much better with fracture dart than 5fold. You will see results quickly.
@@Nihil0.0 oh I see, you specifically need magic damage, regardless of the type. Thanks a lot for the tip. I will definitely try out a Strider pawn. Looks like them and a Tenfold ranger are basically built the same and those are the ones I'm most interested in so it works out.
He means (I believe) the damage boosters. Clout is the most notable, as it adds the most (20%) to all damage. (Sorry if numbers not exact here) Vehemence adds 10% to all. Eminence adds 30% to jumping attacks. Ferocity adds 15% to core skills. These are for physical attacks. Magick has its own boosters. I might be missing a few.
It does not. Tarred is a status that is gained after a few hits and then the next fire strike removes the tarred status. So,if they are tarred and then hit by fracture dart, that first of 8 strikes is boosted, but that first strike of fracture dart is the weakest of the 8. Not worth it. The tarred is usually not worth the bother. Drenched is similar with Lightning

You made the best Dragon's Dogma videos, explained everything very well, in detail, thank you for this.
Sure thing Alex. Thanks for checking it out. I appreciate your words
My absolute favorite class. I did a full strength build being an assasin up to level 200 and switched to strider. The sheer damage you can do with cloudburst volley and helm splitter is game breaking. My only weakness is ghost type enemies and a derpy sorcerer pawn
How did you level up to 200?
@@niklasb4454 i made my way to the greatwall encampment and leveled up to 90 killing skeletons that a lich summons over and over as long as you don't kill the lich. Then i went to the bbi and got to the gutter of misery. Death spawns endlessly there whenever you leave and re-enter, i killed him by knocking him off a cliff with blast arrows until i got to level 200. I would strongly recommend at least 10 levels being a sorcerer so you can do at least some damage to wraiths and living armor.
Strider has no problem with ghosts either. Equip elemental dagger and brain split them
@@hisholiness4537 i tried the sapfire daggers and heavens key on them and still did negligible damage.
Thanks Udi. Dogma is such an awesome game with the best combat. I know exactly how you feel about Elder Scrolls 6. It is a scary thought
@@Nihil0.0 Thanks to you my friend - and your inspiring and informative videos - I am about to start a new DDDA game RIGHT NOW and pick the Strider vocation. If my wife complains - I will refer her to you lol!
Yaha. I have been blamed for worse..... sometimes things that I was innocent of... But, enjoy. Strider is my favorite
Wow. This hands down is one of the best build videos I've ever seen. It's coherent, concise, and damn good entertain to watch. It show a lot of care and research you put into this. Very impressive dude
Thanks Joseph. I did put a lot of thought and effort in these Scematics video. I appreciate it when they are noticed.

Nihil0.0 for the one to play to feature the gameplay trailer of dragons dogma 2
Wow this as absolutely amazing, should have watched your vids before trying vocations so HELPFUL. thank you and well done
Thank you for the video, it really helped a lot. Wandering if you can make this kind of video for every vocation? That would be awesome.
Hey Issac, thanks man. I do intend to do all vocations. However the Mage, Sorcerer and Mystic Knight may be delayed or late, as I am still not a pro with those vocations.
awesome, I never see person who played instant reset as great as you
It's one of my must have skills with Daggers. Kisses is the second.
great video, very informative! can't wait until you cover the rest of the vocations.
Thank you Dorian. The other vocations will be interesting for me, some of them at least.
That shaman shuffling off stage right with an arrow in his eye is hilarious... Great stuff.
Yeah, he was practicing for the new Broadway act "the Pawn of my Arisen is my pawn"
And he nailed it
Instant reset can be a life saver. Good to see all the skills in action.
Insnare is allot more useful than I have given it thought.
Instant reset is always one that I have. Especially when I Climb.
Implicate is pretty useful. I always feel like Scorpion yelling "get over here!"
Just found your channel and it seems I struck gold. Awesome in depth videos. I just started replaying DD: Dark Arisen again and these guides are super useful.
Nice, thanks Seth.
Thanks Crowyrd. I wanted to focus alot on Fracture Dart, and try to cover all concerns with it. I will be covering the other vocations as well.
Yes, please do!
You can tell strider is his favorite class.
The Fracture Dart tips helped me a lot. I can get 3 explosion every time now. Thanks
Awesome Nolan. I also struggled with that skill. Wh1sper explained some things to me, and it made sense after that.
With this skill, I could farming DF at duskmoon tower, however. I really don't get it how to get 3 explosions indeed. Somehow I managed to detonated it mid-air 3 times. But mostly, when hit the grounded CD, it hit twice. 🤔I dunno. 😥
omg the Oblivion music q-q awesome video!
Thanks Unkreative
It's very soothing
Holy shit this is awesome. Nice work Mr. Nihil. Bravo
Thank you John. More to come My friend.
Though I have one question about my damage output of my framea blades:
My current strenght of my framea blades (gold forged) is 1896. I'm a lvl 194 strider. I saw from some of your vids that my strenght can be increased up to 3000. I know that there are some augment that boost my strenght like clout but dont know from which vocations I can get them. Can you help me would appreciate it a lot man :D
Wish you a good night or day depends when you are listening this comment haha.
Ps: I'm from germany so please excuse my writing if theres a point in a sentence that dont make sense.

@@RPGeenius thanks mate aprecciate it🤗
I honestly believe that this is the strongest vocation. Period.
I can agree with that. But probably more like we find we are strongest as this vocation, while others would say Magic Archer or Ranger.
If leveled for strength then arguably yes.
However, the Assassin has Masterful Kill and Lyncean Sight. Two skills that can trivialize most encounters in the game.

Never knew this was so op to knockdown a wyvern wtf :O
With 2 Barbed Nails and high knockdown with your Daggers, it is pretty nice. But also a Mighty bend woks, or Fracture Dart works too

@@Nihil0.0 your welcome
Nihil is a Strider main, you can tell by the Instant Resets
Wow even in steam forum said some skill 2 star in right condition became deadly
I think the challenge of using the RIGHT SKILL for a particular enemy is BETTER than collecting higher stats gear. It makes the game more fun.
Oh absolutely. Editing that now 😂 It’s beautiful. Dragonkin don’t stand a chance now, even two at a time lol.
Sweet. Are you on steam? If so, what's your username? Mine is nihil0.0
For magic users, the Frigor spell (and its upgrades) can be used to get the disk on the bottom of a golem's foot. The cold doesn't harm them but the physical damage will. Takes a while, though.
Ur videos r awesome I learn something new with every video

Thanks Xizoo. I do hope it helps some players. Especially the Fracture Dart bit. I'm sure you can remember how frustrating that skill was when it would only explode twice.
Amazing vídeo. Thanks for share these informations.

Strider is such a badass vocation. Great video. Any tips on how to make a more effective strider pawn?
Thanks Derek. Let me know if your pawn inproves, and if you have any other questions.
i love these videos as strider, assasin, warrior, figther
i got so borred to play as magic user :( pretty slow, frustrating
I also do not enjoy the Mage or Sorcerer. And, even Mystic Knight. I like the fast skills, and run in with melee style.
Wow, Strider and Assassin really do share a lot of skills.
Why is Assassin so much more popular? Is it all about Wind/Gale harness? Or the counter kills?
Seems like those are what everyone talks about.
Assassin gets hype from the name, and the augments. I choose Strider over Assassin, but Assassin is still pretty fun
I would imagine it is the "basic" class name trap, the high attack stat gain, and the chance to poorly branch out into sword and shield.
Great vid. wait to see others vocations. (I just play my first character fighter lv.18. Will change
to Warrior lv.20)
Nice Teerachai. Fighter is fun, Warrior is too. I am working on Fighter Schematics now, and then probably Ranger or Warrior after that.

@@folktheologytransition3756 the only bad news is that strider stats growth is shit
@@Nihil0.0 ah, do you do the lower tier weapons and gold forge them because the materials are easier to get? Great video btw.

I don't have so much time to play and test all that by myself, so these videos offer great insight of what playstyle does a certain vocation permit, and maybe help my choice since i won't play all specialisations. I would looooove if you would do it for each vocation. You're Awesome !

Thanks. Shall do. Working on Fighter next
What height/weight should we be using? Do we level Strider first and mix in 9 levels of fighter/warrior along the way to 200?

Thank you, for the advice.....In creating a strider pawn, which pawn would have the best end-game stats; a pure strider, or a pure ranger pawn.
Ranger would have better stats. better stamina and better attack. If you want some extra health, go with some levels from Fighter or Warrior.
Strider Master Class
Yep. Strider is a beast
Ok so I know I commented on the warrior video saying I'd follow that build but man you just keep making me restart 😂
Is this class/build better solo or with pawms? If with pawms what classes would work best with it? Kinda want to play solo to see how it goes but I'd like your opinion first. Highest level I've reached is 32 I believe so I'm still pretty new to the game. Also side note I really appreciate the time and effort you put into this , I've been lost on your channel for 3 days straight now because you're an amazing player.
Also what height and weight would you recommend for this?
Strider makes a great solo class. If any class were to struggle solo, perhaps Mage. They’re the most support class type.
There is a lot of information about height/weight out there. Nihil.0 has a lot of videos, and you can see his main is not too tall, somewhat slender, long limbs.
the Strider seems to get largely ignored.. from what I can see.. it's one of the best vocations in the game
Heck yeah. My favorite vocation
Pretty easy transition too, if you're all in on Assassin (As many of us are).
I wanted to try all Warrior, but may go back to this afterwards.
Nihil0.0 Oh thank goodness! I’m getting by without it but just barely. Thanks, man
Not a problem Matthew. I enjoy helping. If anything else, just ask.
Nihil0.0 what skills will transfer over if I eventually change my vocation to magick archer?
Most of the core skills, like double jump, dodge roll, and the 2 dagger core skills. For weapon skills,
the dagger skills;
Kisses, Wind, Toss and Trigger, Dazzle, and Reset.
The rest of the Magic Archer skills will be new.
And I also have a Schematics vid for Magic Archer

4:03 is that a Skyrim OST right there boi ?
I don't quite remember the music I put in this video, but I think some Elder Scrolls from Skyrim and others.
Its oblivion elder scrolls 4 its not from skyrim
The stupid high DPS, Area damage AND complete negation of fall damage, as well as multi hit, applying negative effects well, makes Splitter probably the best skill in the entire game.
Put that in a vocation that can roll for Iframes and high speed mobility at no stamina cost, cancel animations at will, has the best mobility and damage climbing without needing any item or augment to boost that, and has fracture dart as another exclusive skill, and you make all other vocations look like they belong in a different game. Lul
Is there going to be a Ranger schematics?
I like the Skyrim reference.
"Until I took an arrow to the Knee", now a Mandela Effect. The quote can not be found in the games code or anywhere. Doesn't exist, and never has. Even though many recall it to be said by random guards, especially in Whiterun, especially in early levels.
And yep, there will be a Schematics for each vocation. I intend to at least.
Freakin' Mandela, Ruining our history. Berenstein Bears are one thing, but leave Skyrim alone.
wut?
I used to be an adventurer like you, til I took an arrow to the knee.
21:21 what do you mean with assassin trap
I just dint understand it bcs in my head it could mean anything about the assassin.
Assassins have the highest strength growth by far, but their others growths are severely lacking, especially health. You will be strong but squishy.
never played DD before, can a single strider have all those skills ??! looks too OP
I feel like Dragon's Dogma is one of the closest to "perfect games" out there, in the aspect that it grants you absolute freedom to play how you want, without any forced, or linear, or tedious crap that many games have
@@Nihil0.0 thanks!
Until i took an arrow in the eye 🤣
I know this was awhile ago, but does the Augment Eminence (Renders your jumping attacks more powerful) apply to Helm Splitter and it’s evolutions?
Only if you jump prior. But if you use it standing, no.
Its a crime that dodge roll isn't a universal skill
Strider is the best class. However, they work better by hunting in packs!
Yeppers
th-cam.com/video/4_W27-GU4X8/w-d-xo.html
You can switch to other vocations (I recommend after you Rank a vocation to Rank9, you should at least switch and try another)
If you have any questions Renato, just ask in any of my videos. I have a Schematics video for each 9 vocations, and plenty of information videos.
itsa hew-mahn!
"Get it!"
No, "Retreat"!
wAaaAaAGghH!!!

And stepping stone does activate Eminence for jumping damage.
What is the assassin trap? I see it on almost every video but cant find any info on it.
Does the soaring stone have the same height of the leaping stone even with enemies brought to the air?
Soaring is not as high as Leaping. Leaping would be preferred if used for easier climbing locations
You know dragons dogma is good because it has chuck Norris signature approved round house kicks. Also soaring stone is great for gore Cyclops and elder ogres because their head is weak to attack. Thunder enchantments are best for elder ogres and ice is best for gore Cyclops.
ha, nice. Chuck Norris approved
Well, this all just reminds me that I still suck at this game. Badly.
Nah. Practice. I have ended up with over 3,000 hours in the game, so ...... basically I have no other hobbies or interests
What is your armor load out for this? It looks amazing!
still very new to the game, when you say after the usual good boosting augments, what good augments do you mean?
++
It was funny after watching this video, I tried to jump from the highest place using splitter and it didn't work
The trick is do not jump prior. Just run or walk to edge, and while still moving forward use the skill.
hey how can i manually detonate fracture dart in pc ver? cant do it for some reason
Tchau brigado! 20:13
try this Implicate+ Leaping stone and then Splitter epic combo
Do you know if oil arrows increase Fracture Dart damage?
It does not. Tarred is a status that is gained after a few hits and then the next fire strike removes the tarred status. So,if they are tarred and then hit by fracture dart, that first of 8 strikes is boosted, but that first strike of fracture dart is the weakest of the 8. Not worth it. The tarred is usually not worth the bother. Drenched is similar with Lightning
Damn xd now i know after 5 stryder ranks this vocation isnt for me, well guess ill switch to warriro for a while then assasin
Do you have an equipment guide for classes?
There is no particular equipment in DDDA, . . . Only weapon, I just killed Daimon Naked but I have my daggers only with me😂😂😂
20:40 Wait, was that portuguese?
Btw, great video
Thanks Brenno. It is Portuguese, but don't get too excited, I only know a handful of Portuguese
Yeah, that's what I thought, it's just that it's to weird to see your main language at a video from another one
