THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I have had this malfunction warning for the left and the right on my 2013 GLK350 for months. All my previous information about it recommends an expensive repair. Replaced fuse 21 for the right and 15 for the left. No more malfunction warnings. So grateful for this video. Saved me some dollars.
Might get rid of the light but, yours might be a recall. My 2014 E350 Sedan isn't covered in a MB recall. They said it needs a front right passenger weight sensing control unit. 1850 dollars plus Tax before even the repairs are done. (Labor and etc are additional) What a POS money pit. Airbags? Besides everyone using Takada airbags, (even Toyota) would this happen on a Toyota? No. These Mercedes up to and including 2021 already have major airbag/srs recalls. Mostly coupes/cabriolets. I guess some sedans weren't included in the recall. Mercedes garbage engineering. They get innovation and structure stuff great, their build quality and technology stinks. (Especially, the modern cars)

This is actually the Mercedes airbag module, that costs about 2000 dollars with labor for Mercedes to recalibrate. The light can be turned off, that doesn't fix this issue.

first ...thanks for post this video..second you need to scan the code....the most faulty on this cause its weight sensor located under passenger seat you need to look on passenger airbag indicator if change when you sit from off to on.....the passenger seat its good if change.
but if not change. you need to replace the passenger seat its easy for you because if you want replace the weight sensor need to much work....third if you scan the code and the code talk about line bus that mean you need to go to professional people to solve the problem.... thank you and i am sorry for long notice...
Hello I have Mercedes Benz c220 2009, I have try resetting it has instructed but when I drive a certain mile the light keeps coming back. What do I do?? Please do reply as soon as you can.
This is exactly what happened on my S212 2015 plate E class estate in the UK. Passenger side left airbag malfunction, I checked fuse 21 and it was blown. Went to halfords got a pair of new fuses for £1.80 replaced it and all working and good. This happened after a dash cam installation.

Mine is saying consulate workshop instead of service required did yours say the same thing? Haven’t opened the fuse box yet
@@techqueries3881 it might have said consult workshop as well. In any case check fuse 21, it's a good likelyhood that might be blown in which case just need to replace the 1 fuse.

Hi Guys, I replaced the drivers side seat I bought from ebay do to mine being ripped. Now my C300 is a 2008 with heated and electric seats. After the install I noticed the SRS service light turned on and I was not able to reset the light with my I carsoft OBD meter. Would you guys have an idea what the issue would be.

Hi, I changed a seatbelt on the driver side. The error code I get is the system doesn’t recognize the number of the replacement seatbelt. Do I have to go to MB for them to allow the new seatbelt number in the star/memory?

Hello, I have a 2012 C180 and I just disconnect the connector under the driver seat and turn the on the key inadvertently and this workshop light turned on and doesn’t turn off any way. Is there a solution other than clean error with a scanner? Thanks a lot!

resistance to squib 2 is a wire attached to the airbag in the steering wheel behind the horn. . I hit the horn and it jostled the wire and went to normal.
Took front seat out to repair a tear in the seat so it made the light come on, the fuse is good but still wont reset…. Any suggestions?

I had the same issue, mines turned out to be a pinch wired underneath the seat I think something must off got stuck underneath and I probably moved the seat and accidentally I damaged the wire harness
@@bimmahe9014 I am afraid this is my problem. I took to the dealership and they found a water bottle underneath, and the light came on when I moved the seat one day so I bet it was a wire. Darn! I told them I would be back after trying to figure it out myself.
@@MsTakiH try unplugging the yellow harness and grease it up and plug it back together but unplug the battery before you do anything, to make it safer you’re better off removing the cushion off the seat, that will give you more room to work with those wires, if anything is broken just take to a shop and have therm get you a new plug and have them replace. I was lucky mines was just a pinched wired.

My 2014 E350 has 73000 and the light came on this morning, does cold temperatures cause this, because I just drove in snow
@@thenyonibuddies It can. My vehicle was in cold weather. One of the most expensive (posh) dealerships in the country told me it was an error in the calibration of the front passenger airbag. That means NONE of them work. They told me, "It will be 1,850 dollars plus parts and labor.". They said, pretty much never get it done and pass it on to the next person that buys the vehicle. Geez Mercedes! Cheap technological crap, that if it goes wrong, it's out of warranty. Airbags failing and requiring calibration after 7 years. Would that ever happen on a Toyota or Honda for half the price? Basically screwed. They have had recalls but, not on the W212 sedan because it's the best of the worst in the last 15 years. A multi billion dollar corporation that had airbags fail. I did notice, that if I have weight or a passenger in the front seat, the warning after about the normal 5 minutes of driving, never occurs. I don't even want to drive the vehicle anymore. A main point of Mercedes is safety. They invented 99% of what is in consumer cars now. It's not a 1.70 fuse. Awful (Money pit) 712 dollars plus tax for a B Service. Nerve [I think the cold throws off the wonderful calibration, that only a specific Mercedes machine can do.) Welcome to the club

@@thenyonibuddies It seems that mass/weight, (Humans have mass/weight) seem to solve it. Now, does that mean you have full functional airbags? Hmm. Probably not. It is based on a counterweight calibration software setup. I guess weight plays a factor because a modern car turns the passenger airbag on and off, depending upon if there is an occupant or similar weight to a light to heavy human seated there. Apparently, if even one airbag doesn't work or isn't calibrated correctly, ALL airbags do not work. What a great system. 👍🏽 I have to find out if there is any recourse for this. I have to worry about safety, every time I drive. I used to look forward to driving the car and cleaning. Now, I chuck it in the garage and usually opt to drive my other way less dangerous vehicles. Yes, my other vehicles are Lexuses. (The proper pluralism of Lexus. 😉) Horrid manufacturing. If you watch the original 2013 (for 2014) factory manufacturing videos, Mercedes talks about seat quality (everyone's seat tears due to horizontal attaching) and the nerve to talk about panel gap quality. That's the joke about the 2014 face-lift to 2017. Mine were all fixed under warranty originally. You buy a Mercedes, you should be able to afford to fix it's very unreliable nature. That's the saying. The new ones are much worse and add turbo charging. I don't know if almost 20% of the car's horrid depreciation value is worth putting into the car. 😀 I plan on leasing one in the future and beating the piss out of the car. 🚗 Beep Beep
On a serious note: Try driving about 10 miles with nobody besides yourself in the car and see if the light returns. These videos claim it's a fuse. It isn't. It airbag calibration software and materials. You are taking chances now.
A scan at Mercedes is 200 dollars, just to look at it. I can do it on my inexpensive scan tool but, unless they scan it, they won't fix it. Anything not sold or ordered by Mercedes, will not be put on the car. I can go to Lexus with anything and they will throw it on my Mercedes for a quarter of the price. (Less technical stuff, that Mercedes won't due to legal.)
@@thenyonibuddies It is likely a WSS. (Weight sensor) You should bring it to an authorized Mercedes mechanic. They need to scan it and then initiate the recalibration procedure. It should take 30 min. It consists of a 17Kg weight and a 44kg weight representing the weight if a human. It's steps with moving the seat forward, up, middle (neutral) and down. Making sure no obstructions are in the way. Sometimes obstructions under the seat or in the seat path can cause this. I believe the cold caused mine because almost nobody gets to ride in the passenger seat. I have only allowed 3 people in all the years to occupy the passenger seat on about a total of 10 trips. The nerve of the dealership quoting that much for a 150-250 dollar labor scanning job. (Recalibration)

i have a quick question i have the same issue for the same vehicle you have. After i checked that exact fuse it wasnt burned out yet i still changed it and followed the procedure to turn the car off and on three times and the airbag light keeps coming. i bought a new pyrofuse box from mercedes the one that goes in the engine bay then i reset the codes and its still there. Any idea to whats going on?
