Check to see what your notifications are set to. I’ve had that issue on other channels now and again and had good luck with hitting “unsubscribe”, then hitting “subscribe” again and making sure that notifications are set to “ALL” and then it’s all set. Hope that helps!

I have eaten them but never made them so I'd love a traditional SJ recipe!

I was excited to make Big Mac bbq this weekend- I’ve made several of your recipes and loved them all. But I wasn’t a fan of the Big Mac sauce. Maybe I made it wrong or something but did not think the sauce tasted anything like MCDONALDS. It had a weird taste- I’m thinking it was the Catalina dressing.
there are times I can't pronounce the "W" sauce right either.. but what I have heard that is so funny is someone once just called it "Worsh-your-sister" Sauce. And if you say it fast enough it sounds right!! LOL Happy Easter
Congrats on the chickens!!! We got layer hens last October (despite being in an HOA neighborhood which frowns on backyard chickens. If anyone chooses to give us grief for them I'm calling them my Emotional Support Flock and I'd like to see them beat that in court!) and they have been such a source of joy, entertainment, and of course protein. I'm up to my eyeballs in eggs, which is a good thing. But given the state of the world, we went in with friends (who have more acreage and less restrictions) on broiler birds. So we are shelling out more of the cost, they are using their pasture to range the birds, and we're all getting our hands dirty on butcher day. We're also raising quail, both for eggs and meat. I've never questioned house or car insurance, but it's taken me too long to do something about food insurance. I hope there are more folks getting their first chickens, whether they be layers or meat birds. Its just me, my hubby, and our 21 year old college student here. I can't imagine the stress of trying to provide for a bunch of little ones while the world is in such chaos right now. Check into quail... very low maintenance, very quiet, tasty eggs, easy to reproduce if you need to raise your own meat, and can be processed in the kitchen sink if needed with no special equipment. I don't know about you, but I'm considering things I never would have before in an effort to ensure food for my family.
They sometimes allow hens as roosters tend to crow whenever they want to. Like 2 in the morning! Good for you! I am always supportive of someone that wants to keep backyard chickens!!
I've had backyard flock of ~5 hens for past 8 years (only one left of original flock though)-they've been an endless source of entertainment. in the spring even the 8 year old lays a couple (weirdly shaped) eggs. They are my pets so not raised for meat. Have lost a couple to various ailments/predators (2 who were perfectly healthy night before, dead in am-same breed/breeder 2 years apart so we stopped going there-they were only 2 years old too).
@@pookiesmamma We researched the county ordinances and the HOA restrictions. The county clearly allows and encourages hens and roosters have requirements of 5+ acres of land. The HOA restrictions say in one area clearly that no poultry but then in the pet area it seems it could be interpreted various ways. I live between and old woman and green space, so for the most part no one will know of their existence. If it were not for their loud squawking when one is laying an egg (and the others apparently cheer her on) even I wouldn't hear them, but the egg laying squawk can be heard inside over my son playing video games and my husband listening to music. Whoever said Buff Orpingtons were quiet never heard them when they were laying! LOL We're working within the HOA board to change the rules given the state of the world food supply. Wish us luck!
@@monykalynf3604 My layers are not for meat either, and that is so sad about the 2 you lost without knowing why! My Buffs are cuddlers and if I don't have food in my hands for them, they expect to be held. LOL I have a Black Astralorp and a Barred Rock and they aren't interested at all in getting close. I dread the day I need to hold them to tend to an injury or illness because they really don't like being touched.
Make easy things to get used to it. Boil water is one of the first things in the manual. I make hard eggs on a weekly basis. You'll get used to it, you'll find loads of recipes, etc.
Just look over all of our videos. We have some very easy ones for just learning how to use your Instant Pot. We walk you through the steps. Super user friendly.
I love your channel but I am always confused on how to make your recipes because I have an 8 qt instant pot, and it requires more water than yours. So I feel like it will mess up the ratio of everything...
I’d really appreciate it if you wanted to do a soux vide video with the instapot. I’ve been fascinated by it for a long time and just realized my instapot has a soux vide button. Observant aren’t I.

No, It's not that spicy! With my kids it can't be too spicy.
